Gained weight and no way to ditch the dual exhaust? Ouch.
Sounds like it'll be fast atleast

Sounds like it'll be a fast, but heavy. 7 pound gain just from the forks and electric start. I am curious to see what this thing can do though

Doesn't sound like it'll be happening, at least not for a year.

Cool, like supercar cool, but Jesus all the BS on dirtbikes now are killing the average consumer! Wonder who will be the first to make both pipes join up front and exit to a single can.

Hmm...I wonder if the 450RX tank will fit.

Looks badass to me. Ive never been a fan of the dual exhausts, but something about these true dual head pipes and exhausts look cool to me. I wonder if honda will want J-Mart to stay down so they have a contender for outdoors on this new bike. Who does Geico have that could possibly win a championship besides J-Mart?

It is a nice looking bike! While not enthused with twin pipes, I do think they look better than the huge single can mufflers now in use.

I'd like to know the weight of the left side exhaust. Wonder what the power gain over the weight would be

Rumor mill..

Mitch said recently in an interview the team should be the same next year as it is now and most of the contracts are already done.

Like the e-start only. Titanium springs and bolt kit might get weight down to stock KTM range.

There was a interview or something with AC recently where he talked about how PC came down to florida and that really helped and how he should be signing a contract extension very soon. Id like to see him go Geico or Red Bull KTM and change it up but at the same time id like to see him stay loyal to PC since they have stayed loyal to him.

Bolts are gonna shave ~15lbs?? The Honda simply isn't gonna be as light as the KTM. May not matter though, power is key in the 250 class and this might be the fastest 250F next year. Throw in a good frame, and suspension. Could be a very good bike.
2019 Honda needs to focus on weight though. Closing in on the Alta in the weight department.

Not sure if the engine will be the fastest in 2018, in 2017 it made just under 39 HP, and Husky FC made nearly 44.5. Honda is claiming 10% more power so it wont get to over 44. I guess at least it is a hell of a lot closer than what it was though.

Unless of course the 'way' the power is delivered does make it faster, as we know HP numbers dont 'necessarily' mean much.

The Honda is more like 8 pounds heavier than the KTM. Not bad considering it has spring forks and an extra exhaust system.

It's got the same engine design as the KTM and husky. But this will make more power I guarantee.

Not even close to KTM weights for this one. Like CRF450 this will be least 5kg heavier like KTM was 2010.
