Plan on doing my first Hare Scramble this weekend in Marysville CA. Does anyone know the regulations on class sign up? I have never raced the district 36 off road series so I am wondering if they require you to start in the lowest class and gain points to move up or if you can sign up for whichever class you want like moto racing. I am an A class mx racer so I would prefer to be in the A class off road this weekend

You're still racing a dirt bike. Sign up in the class you normally race mx in.

Instead of jumping doubles, you'll be jumping over logs and roots.

I don't know of a single series that requires you to sign up in beginner for your first race in that series.

D-36 will assign you the proper class based on skill and age.
You need to be an AMA member too for the D-36 CC races.
They use transponders, so you will need that as well.
I've done the race at the E-st track and it was great, but rough as hell!
The MMX location will get plenty rough too.
The A class race should be two hours, so be prepared with fuel unless you have an oversize tank.
