Really thought he would have gotten a win or two after the 2nd race, but I guess getting through his rookie 450 SX season healthy is a good thing as well. Excited to see what he can do outdoors, between him, AC, and Sexton, the "old guard" is going to be having trouble.

He often rode better than his current results, and sometimes was on par with the leaders, so I think he can still have a great rookie season with the outdoors Wink

I sure never would have expected Dylan to be bringing up the rear points-wise on the Star Team this year. Pre season, some were even suggesting Dylan would be a title contender. It will be interesting to see if he can recover and run up front outdoors this year.

Same as he was in 250s -- fast as hell, no starts.

The difference is he can't just effortlessly charge through a whole field of veterans like he did regularly against the kids in the 250s -- each position gained is going to be a battle when he lines up against 17 former Champions.

With an average start position of 10.2 for Dylan, podiums are going to be rare in the class. To wit: Jason Anderson, like Ferrandis, has been plagued this season by an avg starting position around 10, and he has the largest number of positions gained in the entire class. He only has stood on the box twice to Dylan's once.

He still has the best finish of any member of the team. Dude just needs to figure out starting well and staying off the ground.

Wonder how much the pre-season injury kept him back??

Looking for a better season next year, 1st year in 450’s was always going to be a learner year for him.

He has always been a shitty starter and tends to ride over his head at times. In the Two Fitty class he could get away with that some of the time. In the four fitty class, life gets a little more difficult. I am surprised he has done this well and not really injured himself too badly.

Hopefully he will find his groove outdoors, we need more guys up front to make Saturdays more exciting.

Definitely not the greatest season resultswise but at least he's healthy. Look at AC, Sexton, Mcelrath... He should be good outdoors too

Dylan is far from the first guy to fall a little flat in the 450's right after dominating the smaller bikes. But, he seems to be a pretty smart guy, and didn't push it...and didn't wind up hurt. I think he'll look 100% different outdoors.

He said in the video something about not ready to win. With that mindset, he will not do as well. Hopefully he wakes up and believes he can. If he does.......He will.

To add to that thought. Man handling the 450 outdoors gives a perspective on how to ride it well with good technique. This will help him come next season. Hell, it took Ricky 3 seasons. Not everybody can be James or Chad.

Great perspective and very true. He needs to hire MA800 to get his starts turned around and he would be finishing much better.

I honestly think Dylan will turn some heads in Outdoors this summer.

Starts ,starts ,starts and more starts is what he will be practicing id say . His riding has been good . But unless u get the start in 450 s he wont be able to win . Hope he figures it out cause he was nt a good 250 starter too . Imo if you cant get a top 5 ish start every weekend you have no chance at ever winning a 450 championship.

Solid 4th at Salt Lake 1. He did learns from round before and was more cautious first laps and lost couple places but was one of fastest later part of main. Cant wait to see him outdoors.
