For me it was either 1978 or 1988. Both clean looks, throughout the line-up. I’m taking 88. Partially because of the Honda red.

The 1974 Honda xr 75 has the best stock graphic of all time.

1983-1986 CR, nothing else even comes close.

The new Yamahas are really nice.

The 97 YZ graphics were the #1 thing that had me reconsidering the “1996 across the board” comment

anything pre early 2000`s when they turned to boring shit. since then i couldnt tell a year from any oem. the 90`s were so exciting for new bike launches as changes were usually so different

Almost anything 90s looks cool to me. The 96 YZ is probably my favorite though, I actually have the 96 style graphics on my 2016 YZ250.

The two most impactful I can recall were:

1983 CR's - The switch from black to blue seat covers made the entire sport "brighter". My neighbor brought home a 1983 CR60 and I no longer wanted anything to do with my XR75.

1990 KX125/250 - Laid the groundwork for the wild ass designs of the early to mid-nineties. The first time I saw one in person at a track in the Fall of '89, I looked over at my brand new '90 YZ and thought, damn, that thing looks old. I tried to deck my YZ out with pink graphics but they looked terrible with the red anodized forks, and my Dad asked me if I was gay.

1995 because the KX, RM, and CR graphics were hard to beat. I wasn't a fan of the YZ from that year but I recently saw a pic of a 1995 YZ125 with that FMF flame graphic kit from back then (probably put out by Ceet) and it was badass. I would say I also loved the '97 YZ graphics more than anything else.
