This one does it for me…starts at 2:33.

Throttle the Movie

It’s Steve Hatch on an RM 250. I bought one within a couple weeks of watching because I thought it was so cool and some of the trails I ride have a similar flow. In real life it was just as cool. One of my favorite bikes ever.

Cooper and Reynard at Cooper’s track from Terrafirma 3. I was lucky and got to ride Cooper’s private tracks one day. I took one look at his supercross track and said “no, thanks”. Probably would have killed myself within 10 minutes. He had a “baby” supercross track that was insanely fun though.

Any part of dust to glory with the motorcycle parts.

This. That shot is still to this day so rad to me with the audio being so clean given that homie is hanging out of a heli and recording the audio on camera. RM's always had such a great tone to them and that era of bikes looked awesome. I've attempted a lot of cool tracking shots over the last few years (some of which while working for Taylor Congdon himself who is the one who made that movie) and all attempts whether successful or not are inspired by that shot alone.

I was fortunate enough to be at the premiere of that movie. It was in Hollywood at one of the Sunset Strip clubs... maybe the Whiskey a go-go...? Anyway, Fro had just wrapped up his '96 outdoor title and was walking around in a powder blue Shift leisure suit. Like a boss.
The flick itself started at least an hour late, and by then a bunch of drunk moto dudes got to witness Johnny Campbell come screaming into the frame at 100mph, accompanied by Biohazard at full volume on the club's sound system. The place erupted in cheers! One of my fondest moto memories.

7 deuce deuce scene from Moto 7 is fun for a newer movie. Otherwise, all time favorite is Johnny Campbell from T3 or McGrath from T2.

The RC and Lusk scene from wrath child will always have a place in my heart.

Or the Reed scene in Relish. So good.

Jeff Matiasevich in Crusty with Purple Rain playing and he sends a roached out mini bagger off the cliff at the back of the drive.

Either that or Seth's jump in Crusty 1

Best line ever: "You got some serious problems you need to work out with yourself."

The opening scene from On Any Sunday always gets me, but the thing that popped into my head first was Seth’s dune crash in Crusty and the music playing ‘you’re gonna die, you’re gonna rag doll, rag doll!’ That scene and that movie fueled a generation!

I know it isn't the greatest movie ever, but I liked the scene in Bennett's War where he drops the wrench on hit foot, the feeling comes back, and 10 minutes later he is firing up his dirt bike to try and ride again. Anyone who has ever met a motocross racer OR a veteran knows that's EXACTLY what any of our stubborn asses would do!!
(I'm sure if I thought about it for a while I could come up with something better, but that one sort of sprung to mind. It's hard to top Judy McCormick pissing off Broc because her riding clinic was running late.)

$5 to win. $5 for the best takeout move.

I wouldn't be a man if I didn't go for both.

Jump all three hills? That’s almost impossible!

McGrath riding at Guy Cooper's place in Steel Roots...it literally was the reason I started saving money to buy my first bike! 12 months later I picked up a "well used" 89 CR125 and I've been in love with moto ever since.

Steve and Destry were both hauling the mail. I love that movie. Both of those guys taught and coached my son at different points, so knowing them both personally when it came out made it extra special for me. And flying through that part of the desert where it was filmed, if you don't know, makes it even more incredible how much skill those dudes have.
