I'd rather see a top 20 of the coolest/most fun to watch racers... imo the fun factor isn't there in mx and sx like it was 10-20 years ago.

Have you forgotten the last lap pass by ZachO...?
Eli's Slow-To-Go final in Vegas where Jason sneaks by for the win?
Last season's craziness?
SX has been pretty damn good, lately.

Outdoors? Well, we've kinda lost our way these last few years...everything from bad schedules, injuries and just flat out getting out asses kicked this year.

But, even outdoors...we seem to forget that Jason kicked the world's ass...and then he got landed on...

Me? I think Assen will be good for us. Hell, Assen will probably be good for Puerto Rice, too.

I agree with you. I was more saying the vibe of racing has felt less fun and more business like than ever.

Well, there is always the "money-thang runnin' the game down!"

That's been there for a while. Hell, the production rule was about money and that was in the '80s...Honda was accused of out spending everyone-else. Funny..."out spending". Hell, they were out-developing and out-producing EVERYONE ELSE...& everyone else bitched...and got the rules changed...and that was all about money...back in the mid 80s. Jeremy leaving Honda? Money.
RC going to Suzuki? Money.
Hell...Roger going to Honda waaaay back in the day? Money.

It's always gonna be a factor.

For everyone saying the class sucks because the same guys win every week and the racing was better back in the day, here's that magical '99 season. MC was off the podium 4 times and racked up 8 wins while going on to an 83 point lead at the end. Although Ezra Lusk made it interesting at least.

Stupidest reply ever. If Dungey was born in 1965 he'd be chasing Ricky Johnson

He was actually trying to hold off Desalle when he looped out but yeah he was in it and doing ok. I think he was ahead of eventual champion Febvre in points at the time.

Yeah I'll defend the old school guys sometimes to a fault lol.
But I've seen people say things like that and be serious about it in the past.

I know the discussion went to “old school” stuff, but the OP nor the “fixes” had Bowers in there. He was around 15th starting off last year on his privateer ride that he’s doing again. I don’t know who’d I’d bump but I think his name should be in the conversation?
