I still have my 02 , 50 mm on it and another set that had on another 02 or 610 . Had 4 sets all bought with husky bucks. I have all the stuff ferraccis team had but my suspension was way better. Watching them in Atlanta was just scary, I talked to eraldo about what I’d done to the shock piston and such and he didn’t care ,lol . The 2C pipes were great 3 or 4 of them in my barn.

the bar clamps are dangerous. They have a screw in stud rather than a thru bolt for triple clamps. The stud will have a thread showing where it should screw completely into bar clamp. All 4 of mine were like this. It becomes a stress riser and will snap off which happened on Thursday before Sunday sign up at Loretta’s on my sx track , both studs , was lucky not to get broken and since bike didn’t have the bars to crash onto it got pipe, rad, pump housing .

I told eraldo about it but no idea if design changed. Husky paid well here in mega series , in 2 yr I took 22k from them and would have it sent to FBF as credit and took 4800 to Tammy kirk in dalton and brought a bike home, lol

good times

That’s so buddy, lov hearing the old story’s of husky and FBF from early 2000s. I sent you pm message

Yep, hillbilly is who I am saw this few yrs ago but they wouldn’t let me back in. I know more about these bikes than anyone I feel sure. The factory got washed away in a huge flood and that killed the 4 strokes that were coming. Bummer.

Known zack and dad since he started. He tried to buy me bike but i found out to late

the cagiva, I probably know more about them than anyone, lol. Pretty sure I’m the only one to get wood at Loretta on one. 9 th 25 plus 88, it says other as manufacturers

raced a 85 ktm 500 in 85/86, if u ever can ride a fresh one without a bunch of basegaskets and timing detuned to lessen the hit. It had white power first gen usd fork and white power shock. I bought a 50 gallon drum of shock oil, valved forks to it , 7 wt . The shock is pain to get air out on assembly with the pull rod rebound setup. So I would assemble it in a 5 gallon bucket of oil, some days I may have it off 5 times, I went thru that suspension till I knew what effect any part had.

fall of 86 a husky shop opens here , I get a deal going cause I knew cagiva was buying husky from Electrolux and 250 was coming out. I think Electrolux stil owns the gunsight trademark. Got 87 430 and 250 shop demo and rode b class. Muddy creek wasn’t ama till 87 so I’d never had a card . Won bunch races and 8th at Loretta . Cagiva gave me two 250 s and a leftover 87 125 cause they killed the 500 class that yr.

At Loretta in 87 I was alternate in 250 b and it was 1st practice and the track was all grass , that was so cool and we got to ride last cause the track had change so much so I got 3 sessions. Dropped 250 b cause a kid behind me had driven forever as wasn’t gonna get to ride and the husky 250 was slow , class was stacked .

anyway get the cagivas and hit gator back for winter am on new yr, it was tradition to hit that first one, I’d set suspension before going to what my ktm was but the cagiva landed like a sack , jumping the elevator was butt puckering. Get home and the swingarm was cracked. I take shocks off all bikes I had and measure wheel travel to shock travel and graph it. All bikes were similar with a rising rate meaning first inch wheel travel use quarter inch shock , last inch of wheel travel use half inch of shock . But the cagiva 250 had a straight rate. No idea why they would do that , the 125 was like the rest and that linkage would not swap.  So I got a shock spring for like a f250 ,  fuckin stiff as a ministers dick and ran like half inch free sag and hell with race sag , had fork springs made that were the fattest wire my guy could wind and get in tube, I guess they were like a .54 of today . Rotated five swingarms , some getting welded , some in school bus as spare . I raced out of a school bus, lol

I’ll tell a bit more later, it’s super cross time
