After watching all the videos that take a closer look at the factory bikes you would think they’re bullet proof yet little things always ruin people’s races. JB51’s race was ruined by something taking away his rear brake tonight, I’ve raced a lot and had a lot of crashes and also ran into a few guys but yet Ive never experienced some of the things that happen to FACTORY bikes.

I would say this down due to the more aggressive nature of pro racing. It's like how us wannabes can't wear out bikes like they do because they're a lot harder on their equipment.

You should gather up a few of your buddies and have them all crash you very hard and see if something doesn't break.

OP, let’s see you wad your bike up on a full blown Supercross caliber track and then get back to us with how it turned out for your production bike.

Really? How many championships do the green bikes have since 1992 compared to the other 4 bikes on the track? And #33’s bike seems to be fine. Even AFTER a first turn crash. Wink

Clown. Been riding them at least a third of my life. Great motorcycles. You look fragile.

The top riders in the world put demands on bike parts that we could never imagine. What is Indestructible to most mortal men can be quite fragle to these guys.

Lots of the parts on factory bikes are not made to be bullet-proof....some/most are made for performance and to be lightweight.

No doubt!
Obviously was poking some fun.

Some guys get way to emotionally wrapped up in their purchases.

Wait, are we implying a part can’t be “Bullet-Proof” AND Lightweight?

It's a balancing act, performance vs reliability. And sometimes a clip on your suspension can
get foiled by mud ruining your MXON race. However if you're not on the cutting edge of
minimal materials, you're riding a pig that puts you at a disadvantage.
Do you think they expect more than a weekend from their engines? Highly doubt it.
Having said that, the way those guys ride, I doubt your "race prepped" bike would withstand their level
of riding without the crashes. How many of just your wheels would just catastrophic fail under their abuse?

I understand that factory bikes are hardly comparable consider everything that goes into that but that’s kinda my point. My bikes have always had stock brake lines and components and never had a single issue and I’ve had a lot of bikes.

Obviously I’m not taking about when someone wrecks, I’m only talking about when riders make contact with other riders and such.
