Travis- congrats on nearly 9 years as the OP as one of the the longest running and most viewed threads on Vital!

Glad to see that it is back on the regular moto forum (instead of the Hall of Fame forum).

Incredible how much time and money are put into some of these amazing 2 stroke builds. Eye candy on every page.

Now that, is a Gem of a TY!

It looks to be in superb condition - considering it could be as far back as a 75 model.

There's a lot of old Trials riders, me being one of them, that would really love to find a TY175 in such a state of preservation. It's a truly seminal, much loved and desired Trials machine. I really hope you know just what a treasure you have found, godog .

Im also an old trials kid and have been on the look out for one of these for quite some time. Due to this ones completeness and general condition Im hesitant to ride it too much. I'll be happy with a complete clean and detail and the odd plunk around the campsite and maybe a classic trial from time to time. It is a 1975 model built on the 12th month of 1974.

Where did you get that, we had one and sold it for 300$ after I got out of high school, I wish we kept it. Dude please take that down to the frame a restore it.

I got this in my home town on the west coast of canada. These bikes and all years of the 250's and 350"s were really popular in the western provinces with hot beds on vancouver island and rural vancouver. i paid $500 cdn for this one. In 01 i gave away 2 complete bikes and 2 bikes in parts along with 3 TY80's. Ive been kicking myself in the ass for 20years over that deal.
