Saw this on my fb feed, pretty cool to see a sherco rider on top, i guess this is the meaning of its all rider not bike.

So he just stripped off the lights and stuff and went racing?

Does Sherco not make a pure moto bike? They do have some nice bikes but havent kept up with it.

No they dont, all enduro for sherco, i think that 125 weighs 198 with fuel too. pretty good for a bike like that

I frickin' knew it, what a coincidence on the same day the All Star 125 races are announced.

I want to put together an all Euro bike 125 All Star team, with riders picked from the local crop by the promoters.

A Sherco, A Beta and a TM. Who's in? Send me about $100k and let's get it doneCool

Just to show that it can be done. Enduro bikes get no respect, but I am not surprised.

Well I was in that race and when he lapped me, he blew past like I was standing still! He's a very good rider!
Wasn't exactly what you'd call a deep and talented class though...
The 125 gold cup is a good thing for sure!

That bike is sweet. I rode a pre-production one and then a "normal" model, engine is very strong. A bit better than the Beta one, which is also pretty good.

You can hear the sound of the bikes in this short video. I'm on the Beta, and Jordan Curvalle (man responsible for the testing of the Sherco) is on his bike. He was a pretty decent pro MX and enduro rider in his time.

Is that a close ratio 'box in those? Or did he win with a wide ratio enduro transmission? Either way, well done. Just curious....

That's a good idea, but FYI Sherco is french, not italian.

I visit the Sherco Forums. Bikes are really nice units. I actually like all of the smaller brands in general.

Oops, I know better. They actually build Trials bikes in Spain also. So French Spanish. Wherever they come from they make some great stuff, and it would be so cool to have more brands allowed into Pro MX/SX worldwide and some top riders on "enduro" bikes competing (likely very well). Alta's too. Run what ya brung open classes for the top level of the sport.

There definetly needs to be an exemption on the production rule for the small brands.

I've said it for years. Production rule needs to be based on a % of bikes manufactured and not a solid number regardless of manufacturing capability. As long as the public has access to their % it shouldn't matter about how many you make. Even if it's 10% and you make 10 and only sell 1 to the public.

not having an exemption for small companies is another example of 'bought and sold'

sheesh ktm get away with running a 'fe' version but if someone wants to run a tm or beta they have to wait for the oem to get 400 in the country and then get it homologated..
