19yo italian guy here.
Okay, since i was a kid i always had a good feeling with jumps.
I grew up riding motocross and racing motocross.
I still love it, i am a fast local guy but i think cant get any better than where i am with the money i have available to put in. To be faster i would need to ride more (i have a full time job so no chanche of riding more), i would need works on my suspensions/engine and i can't afford this type of mods/living style (training twice/3 times a week)
So... here come the point:
I would like to try FMX because on a mx track i can throw fat ass whips, and decent turndowns.
Where should i start? In italy i have no italy if there are any public FMX parks. I think the goal would be to start jumping straight on those big metal ramps. And after that get the whips down on this parks.
Are FMX riders doing big money?
Thank you for the advices.
Looking for some serious inputs, not vitards or bears, thank you.

I know that there is a public place in northern Spain that has an FMX focus: https://www.lleides.com/?lang=en
The Shop
I can lay it flat
My best thing are turndowns even tho there aren't many great ramps for turndowns in the tracks i usually ride
I don't know, i can't decide and it wouldn't be easy start to do fmx.
Will take my time to think.
if you’re really interested in trying FMX, follow your passion! don’t let anyone dissuade you aside from yourself. I switched disciplines (away from MX) last year after finding myself in a similar boat, being good on a local level but my skill had plateaued, and without the funds or free time to really improve. I found my passion for riding again, and finally learning how to have fun on a dirtbike when i wasn’t racing for the win was one of the most mentally freeing lifestyle changes i’ve ever made. good luck and stay safe!
I hope to find a way like you did.
Thank again for the great wishes
Stay safe and have fun bud😁
As for finding FMX groups, I don’t think these thing are usually as formalized or public as a track. How it seems to go in the US is many rider groups have someone or knows someone who has a ramp. These ramps usually have some storied past about who built them, who has owned them through the years, where they usually get deployed and what local guys have absolutely nuked themselves jumping them. They’re kind of like living relics that carry a lot of local moto scene lore.
Anyways, find a group or person that has a ramp and go ride it. Learn to jump it, throw some whips, whatever. There always seem to be a vet guy throwing heel clickers who will be happy to explain how to do them but will give you terrible instructions. Do that long enough and you should start running into other guys that spend most of their time doing FMX. Have fun. Make some friends.
Pics turned out nice though so go for it
Money, tough time to make a living doing FMX. Not sure how it is in Italy but most of it has dried up and hard to even find the demos that used to be everywhere from local races, dealerships, Monster Jams, etc.. (I could be wrong tho)
Like mentioned above, have fun on your bike ! meet some new friends and ride every type of terrain you can. If you lived closer I'd donate a ramp to the cause
I'll be 50 next year and I'm still riding my ramps, riding trails, a little moto, desert, pitbikes, etc... KEEP IT FUN KID !
I've rode with some pretty decent FMX guys and hitting a steel ramp is totally different. Tricks aren't easy to master and learning them WILL BE a painful experience.
Pit Row
Some are from 2018 when i had kawi and some others were recent with the sx 250 2 stroke
Anyway i have finished school, i have a high school diploma. I have some working opportunities... but i would prefer moto.
