FMOTP needs some recognition each year

Edited Date/Time 9/30/2019 11:22am
Does "The Hoff" get anything to show he was the man last year? Should be repp'in the #1 plate, or a red plate at least! FMOTP doesn't always get to be in the winning team so a red plate or similar would be a good recognition.

The name belongs to Stewart. Whoever the current fastest rider needs their own name to distinguish who they are or it get diluted and under appreciated.

I think I agree... The lowest single scoring rider from the previous year would run the red plate. No red plate run if that rider didn't participate the following year.

But I feel like maybe it should only apply with a 1-1 score... It happens, but only occasionally.

I would consider hoff or Bullet having title FMOTS (fastest man on the sand/soil) to dodge all the allegations and screeching from overseas.

FMOE. (Fastest man on Earth.)

And you do not get to wear that title unless everyone on Vital agrees. Therefore, nobody will ever get it. Cool

Just going to bump this and add that The Hoff's plates should be gold plate backgrounds for next year. FMOTP 18' & 19'

I wonder if Herlings knows he created a monster when he said that after last years event. I assume he had no idea that he was talking about the Hoff, This little Vital thing has proved that Vital punches above its weight.

Dude rips. I don’t follow GPs but has he won any GPs or is he just a mad man at MXDN? It’s probably because he runs #259 Tongue

I dont really understand how you get that title from 1 race.

On any given day tomac or herlings is significantly faster.

Well there's only one race a year where most of the best riders on the planet face each other.
He delivered the last 2 times. Why should he have to wait until other riders have a good day?

You'd have to go back to after last year's win when the joke started. Now he's just living up to it.

I was a little miffed last year when Glenn spanked everybody at my home track but after this year "The Hoff" is my new favorite rider not named Bam Bam!

Herlings has been a thorn in the whole of Coldenhoff’s career but as he wins 4 moto’s in a row he’s now the fastest in the world.

I like Coldenhoff as a person & as a rider, his ride last year & his riding the end of this season has been incredible, no denying it but to say he’s faster that Herlings, Gajser, Tomac etc over the course of a season is a bit over the top.

I just hope he has a good winter and comes put swinging. He ended last year on such a high just to have to start from scratch after that awful crash at Lommel.

See I disagree. Yes he did it in 4 Motos but has he done it over a championship? Anything can happen as MXDN. Cooper won his qualifying race and got 25th in the moto. Does that make him the 25th best?

Try 4 races....
Much like SX, FMOTP is just another title that Tomac won't get.

Herlings is the fastest no doubt.
We where sitting opposite of the start Herlings had 2 terrible starts he losses immediately 10 feet when the gate dropped it's very difficult to go to the pack in such terrible conditions.
He must ride different lines with more risk to go down.
Like I said earlier in a other topic Herlings has something to do this coming winter start practice.
It must improve otherwise he's gonna loose Gp's.
The field is becoming stronger in the Mxgp for next year, the bad starts gonna be a key.

Don't understand your point. JH didn't race all year long. Have you seen his starts last year when he grabbed the title? They were pretty good. I'm sure its gonna be alright again.

I'm with this. Last two GP's Glenn in the form of his life couldn't beat Herlings who wasn't even close to his best.

Yeah the title doesnt make any sense anyways. But IF anyone gets it than in my opinion it should be the guy that dominates the mxdn where the best of the world race each other.

That said, over a full season with the best of the world in one class at 100%, Coldenhoff probably wouldn't be top 5.
Hope I'm wrong. I'd love to see him fight for the title next year.

Last year Herlings had also a lot of bad starts, it were the best Gp's to watch for the spectators.
His nickname is the bullit because of his good starts and the gap he made in the mx2 the first rounds but Cairoli and also Prado have a lot more holeshots the last 2 years in the mx1 and mx2.
Of course he had his good starts but that wasn't so naturally anymore as in the mx2.

Not true. He hasn't holeshot that much, but do you have too for a good start? If you start racing top5 you do not have a bad start i think
