Luckily no one was hurt. From SIDI's Facebook page. (How the heck do you embed FB clips?

"Unfortunately, this was our warehouse that was crashed into. We will not be able to ship any orders until Monday as the staff was evacuated. The good news is everybody was able to get out safely and the pilot is ok. Were sorry any trouble this may cause."

Oh this is what it was, I watched a video other day from one of workers in factory after it had crashed threw roof. He's like a military plane just crashed threw roof filming it on his phone.

My thoughts too, when I saw it on the news the other day.

As, almost inevitably, an fighter / bomber aircraft prang seems to end up in flames.

I should follow it up and see if there is more info about the incident, and, if, perhaps the pilot was able to dump fuel etc, so no inferno. I think no one got hurt badly in it, which is a Great thing. I daresay a few Sidi's got squished. Some Crossfire 3s are needed to replace my 1s that finally carked it, as I just can't get used to the Alpine Stars I discovered, new, in a workshop cupboard.

Ran out of fuel...nothing left to burn.
When there is no fire in crashes like this 99% of time they ran out of fuel.

I'm sure his boss will forgive him though, it was only an 18 Million dollar mistake he made...

18 million! I’m thinking they cost more than that

Whoa! I had no idea that was a SIDI warehouse! I live a few miles from that and we watch the jets and their flight paths into March ARB all the time. My parents were on their back porch and I was visiting and working on the bikes and my mom mentioned how it looked like a jet went down, and within the hour it was all over the news. Crazy!

Either these guys share a warehouse with a Mopar engine part supplier or this happened more than once in the last 48 hours.

How many businesses used this warehouse? How big of a place is it?

you can see where the jet went through the dividing wall. By looking at google maps it looks like there are a few businesses that share that building.

As pilots tend to say: Any landing you can walk away from is good one. If you can reuse the airplane, even better.

In all seriousness, glad no one (pilot or people on the ground) was hurt and more amazing, no fire.

Ok pilot ejected & they're fine , is there no consideration for others in a built up area ,i.e. Eject & let the plane land wherever it ends up ,residential / commercial area ,or stear it to an open area of land & then eject , no damage to life or property

Most logistics/warehouse companies will rent out space with one door/dock and x amount of floor space, or the whole building depending on client needs.

When the aircraft is out of energy to climb/turn, and it’s going down no matter what, it’s not a matter of ejection vs choosing a better location. The plane’s going down where it’s going down at that point.

These planes aren't a small single engine plane that can glide. Like others said without thrust these jets don't retain much maneuverability.

What a story to tell to your insurance company.

What is the problem sir?
A f-16 airplane went through my roof and is in my warehouse now.

Okay , are you kidding us? And where is the pilot now?
It came without a pilot.

I’m sure the pilot did everything in his power to avoid this. These guys are not dumb

My jeep comes with a light that warns you when I'm running out of diesel.
I'm sure a F15 would come with a more sophisticated warning system than a bog standard car Dry
