Excf250 rebuild hours

Hi,
I’m riding on exc 250 four strokes.
In the owner manual ktm says that the rebuild of the engine needs to be done after 135 hours of riding.
My question is if should I stick with the manual suggestion or they are telling us to do it sooner?

I have one as well, can't say I know when I'll tear into it yet as it only has under 40 hours on it. If you want to do work sooner maybe do a compression test & valve check and if everything checks out ok just keep riding it.
