I have just joined Vital, been a voyeur for good while, this thread has worried me lately,
I hope & pray Stefan will improve get better fast, however there's one point nobody has mentioned yet which makes his case much more severe, I think he has no Spleen & think he lost his some years ago in a bad MX crash.
This causes a depleted immune system, I know from experience losing mine, I was told by doctors not to go to 3rd world places or similar because of Malaria & wonder why Stefan did.
I may be wrong & someone may correct me but I think Stefan had a splenectomy, fingers crossed & hope the doctors can save the 10x champ for his & family's sake.

I had to have my spleen removed after a big crash in 2009. My doctor always reminds me of being mindfull of germs and the concerns that a weakened immune system can cause if not mindful. I really hope Stefan makes it out of this ok. Its a scary deal

Stefan had his spleen removed in 1992 after a crash at the start of the German GP when he was competing the 250cc GP's.
