Not sure if this has already been brought up but Cody Webb was on a KTM at the first round of the World Endurocross series. I think his dad is a Beta importer here in the USA so this is somewhat significant albeit not mind blowing.

Hometown race for Taddy, he cleaned up...

There was a press release months ago about Cody Webb signing with RPM KTM for 2015.

By the way, is JCR still doing GNCC? How involved is Johnny Campbell in that effort? I thought he was going to be a Dakar racer now. I am hijacking my own thread because obviously this Cody Webb thing is old news and you seem to be all about JCR.

Yes, JCR is racing GNCC in 2015 with Chris Bach. Johnny is very involved in his GNCC team. He will also be at the upcoming Dakar Rally.

I for one am bummed to see Cody move from the Beta, my son and I have cheered him on for the last two years and he looked great on the bike. He really seemed to have a good thing going with them and the exposure but now he will just be another KTM on the track.

Yes, we will still cheer for him but it seems like a loss in the long run for both parties...

its a loss for Beta, cody definitely gave them time to match existing offers, he had several. his first time on the ktm in poland ended up with him on the podium, a first for maxxis i believe. RPM/KTM will be good for cody for sure, pumped to see him once he has a little more time on the bike

I agree. And that Beta was a piece of art.

Cody got alot of people looking at Beta's. Next bike for me just might be a Beta 250 unless they come out with a 200 or 175.

Yep, those Betas are some seriously good looking bikes. I think the new ktm will treat him well, but it's going to be weird see him on orange.

Is he going to be focusing on the SuperEnduro series and other extreme races? No Endurocross?

How about Beta's Cross-Trainer 300 for $6999?

It looks tits, but I think it would get a lot more attention if it were $1000 cheaper. You can get a barely used 13-14 300RR for under $7k all day long.

He is going to race extreme events again like Red Bull Romaniacs along with World Endurocross serie.
This was one reason also going from 4-strokes back to 300cc 2-stroke. He also said its better at small and tight tracks in Europe serie.

I think that dude could win on anything in endurocross if you let him adjust long enough. Dude is awesome. Can't wait to watch him vs Jarvis vs Walker in the extreme races next year.

I understand where you're coming from; but, it takes a really hard and committed effort for get a new bike to market for $6999...this is a sacrificial lamb of sorts.

Agreed, he is amazing. But Cody deserves a boat-load of credit for dethroning him this year. He has come a long way in a fairly short amount of time.

I'll bet. It's a good deal for a new bike, for those who insist on buying new.

If they made a 200 that was 10lbs lighter and $500 cheaper, I'd really consider getting one for my girlfriend. I'm sure in it's current form it's an easy bike to ride but something about a 300 2-smoker makes me hesitate to think that it's the ideal setup for a beginner level rider.

It'll be interesting to see how this market does, with AJP selling $6k 250F's, and SWM planning on releasing an under $7k range of bikes next year (warmed over Italian Husky's, made in the old Husky plant by former Husky employees, under new ownership).

These are race models, not a great choice for a beginer no matter the cc.

I was referring to a 200cc trainer model with the lower seat height, not an RR.
