Those that don't want to acknowledge the USA is not the best at motocross and that the US National series are not the best motocross riders in the world will never accept it. Same reason they feel they live in the greatest country in the world when we are a complete joke for education costs, crime, drug use, incarceration, wages, health care, government corruption, politics etc.

News flash American. Your not the only country with freedom. Wake up already. You just got beat by a country with a population of 17 million with 2 riders vs the USA with 3 riders and 325 million.

For the 7th straight year. On the most American motocross track in the USA. Whats it going to take for everyone in the industry to wake up and do something about it?

America is the greatest country on the face of this earth. But yeah, we got beat. .... this time.
Greatest at what? I can't wait to see that list.

And for the record we got beat for the 7th consecutive year not..............this time.

I agree with you on the 70% SX and 30%MX thing. 30% time/effort is not going put any country on top of the sport of Motocross.

The USA needs to restructure contracts/sponsorship to eliminate riders having to do both SX and MX. 20 rounds of SX and 20 rounds of outdoor Nationals with different riders in each.

And Herlings went from last to first on a borrowed bike at Ironman last year Blink I still think Tomac could beat Herlings on his best day, but Herlings doesn't have many days that aren't his best. I doubt we see Eli go race a GP on a borrowed bike and pass every single rider. Overall MX, Herlings is the better rider, because he has proved it the last 2 years. If Tomac wants those bragging rights, he's going to have to get out there and prove it, not rely on older results.

i would hope by now you would recognise it's about moto, not SX

how old are you?

you have had about 7 years to get used to the facts, come on, get on the train

he could line up at a few motos at the end of the ama series if he wants more or is that a bit too inconvenient for him and folk like you

hey at least MX sports is bringing some more sand to the series next year, who knows, you might get top 5 again @ Assen

Bullshit, it's indoor motocross

Bunch of cry babies want to separate them so you can win the argument.

Herlings spends 100% time training for Outdoors, Tomac has to split 70% indoor 30% outdoors.

Come on over race MEC and SX then talk shit.
Eli can come to the GP series anytime he likes, he does not have to split 70/30 or whatever made up ratio you choose to define you fucking CHILD !

Of course if that happens the excuses cease.

OR don't, they just get worse as we all know from experience

Awesome interview... It was nice to see that Eli is a little pist off and bitter about the whole deal. Sometimes it feels like we the fans are more invested than some of these pro athletes.

You can't be considered the best until you've raced SX? Fuck all the way off with that one. Since when did the entire world have to start being held to the US' standard. Tomac has plenty of opportunity to race the GP guys if he really wanted to. He doesn't. Stew was hailed as the FMOTP for years and he only raced outside America about 4 times in his entire career. So don't give me this you have to race everything crap

I HOPE HE IS BITTER AS FUCK because i would be but i would fight like hell next year to win and i hope he does too.

I am sick of reading that the USA team had a bad day, IT IS BEYOND CHILDISH as 3 riders don't conveniently have a bad day on the same day ON THE MOST AMERICAN TRACK THERE IS, it's fucking bullshit. They got beat and that is that. Running up to this event the chest bumping and ego rubbing was out of control, they got the better of themselves thanks to the USA centric authority of you being the gods of all, you are not.

USA did not win, again, so fucking what. That is life, you cannot win all the time.

Next year try again but go to Europe for 4 weeks, you have the time and have earned more than enough money to do it, enjoy some Euro tracks, learn the sand, soak up the life and atmosphere, relax, goto MXDN prepared and happy and ready to fight with no excuse, isn't that what you want.

Here's the overall from that day Josh Grant apparently won both motos. So not only did he go 1-1, he bacame the first guy in history to win both motos and not the overall Grinning

Yes, I most certainly do think I live in the greatest nation on earth. No other nation in the history of mankind can even come close to what America has accomplished in less than 250 years.
First to land and walk on the moon
First to have air transcontinental public transportation. ( what other country was building 747 jumbo jets in the 70s?)
First in nuclear technology. (America could have
taken over the world at one point had we wanted to before Russia developed their own nuclear capabilities.)
America feeds much of the world's poor.
The list is long on American accomplishments. I'm not trying to be a Dick but I am proud of my country. We have faults...that is for sure. I don't think we're better than everyone. I DO believe we have some major first accomplishments that many countries do not. Now having said all this non moto stuff.... congrats to France for a great MXON win! The Dutch kicked ass too. Well deserved wins!

Of course team USA got beat. That was admitted from the start. Of course it stings, but what stings more is the European countries that want to rub it in the face. Well that is why the defense of Team USA. Either way there is nothing wrong with US MX or SX. More riders will come up, and I am sure that USA will win again. Will it be next year I cannot say, but we will find more of the stripe of RC, or JS, or RV. We accept the humbling for now, but really unless there were something drastic to happen others with more fight and determination speed and cunning will come. Our program here is just too big and well developed for it not to happen. And I think the world knows it.

IMO people are people and Euros bleed just like Americans. But the thing that makes America great is freedom and liberty. Those who work can achieve here reguardless of starting point. More and more certain factions here as well as other parts of the world are trying to rein us in to their socialist minded ideas, but as long as we can live free for God and Country.. America will be great and will produce more great riders to win again in the future.

World Champion off personal bankruptcies thanks to the most expensive healthcare and medical system in the world.
Only beat by China and India in lack of control of polluting industries. Total political corruption disregarding nature and environment like those crackers are discovering in Florida.
Highest amount of death by firearm than any other country-not-at-war, in the world. More than 15K/year. Sad.
#1 nation addicted to firearms. Make them men I guess.
#1 country in the world with majority of citizen in credit card debts
#1 country in the world with most expensive education (leading to indebted people for life) and poor education at that.
First in Nuclear Technology?? Maybe the the technology to destroy it, but not the technology to save it since you guys are diving back into coal and addicted to fossil fuels, zero initiative towards new energy.
America is not the #1 feeder of the world's poor for a while now, old propaganda. It was food for corruption anyway.

But, there is no question, this is the #1 country in the world for dirt bike riding, the Mecca of motocross tracks, paradise of the motocross and Supercross fan. Merica Fuck yeah!

Oh sure, we're a real third world country. Has your country got a handle on its human rights violations or its suppression of religious and political speech freedoms yet? Hows that authoritarian government doing? Still calling your president Papa? How about judicial independence? Not quite there yet huh? Americans addicted to firearms? More like addicted to the right
to bear
arms. One of many rights we Americans enjoy. I rode my dirt bike in the dessert for years wearing a side arm...shot thousands of rounds at targets with a
plethora of firearms, and yeah, it makes me feel like a man. So what? It's called freedom. What, is that illegal in your country? Bummer. You have a low opinion of America? Too bad. I dont give a rip. YeeeeHawww!!

Sx and mx. It's like the difference between Rugby league and Rugby union. Probably looks the same to the untrained eye or the casual fan but they are different sports.

Herlings is clearly the best mx rider in the world right now. The best at sx? Personally I don't care.
