He looks so damn relaxed and happy. He is enjoying the fans, he's got the bike figured out and will likely be the champ. It's a bummer if he rides supercross only. He certainly doesnt appear to need the money. And supercross is more dangerous than MX. Obviously it's his life and choice but as a fan I would love to see him make the outdoors happen. Why do you think he is racing supercross only?

He has an option to race outdoors if he wants too. It’s a year away. Can we just enjoy the moment. Whether he does or not it’s not worth spending any time or energy on now.

Isn't a totally redesigned Yammi coming? That could play a factor. Look at KTMs stumbles.

Just my opinion but a dude that has had his success, both career and financial, in this sport...and steps away healthy and on top...smart.

Would be great if he would do at least a few rounds next year as sort of a farewell tour. Especially if he manages to get the #1. Sucks that Yamaha/Star weren’t able to run it this year with Dylan.

I wanted RC to race all of 2007 and 2008 too. Sometimes it’s just time to say goodbye and appreciate what you saw

That’s a good point. Perhaps he wants to be sure he can go out on top. I bet he doesn’t want to spend his last year struggling if him and the new bike don’t get along.

He will be on the new bike for SX. My understanding is that his new deal/extension wasn’t signed until he had a chance to test the bike.

Good for Eli going to an SX only schedule. I mean he’s a legend outdoors already. It’s time now to get that easier money!

I will be seriously bummed once Eli has rode his last race. It's awesome that he's stepped up to his old level of dominance and is putting on a show in his final year or two of racing.

Is Dylan done for the year? I thought he might make it back for some races?

If he decides to step away healthy and with a hefty bank account he’s certainly earned it. It’s our selfishness that wants to see him out there. All the greats retire at some point, life goes on. For the moment I just enjoy watching the guy blast corners and shake my head in disbelief. It’s been awesome watching him over the years. Definitely one of the baddest dudes to sling a leg over a bike.

Weedge said yes, last 4 possibly or 3 or 2 or even 1 depending on where the title stands with Eli.

^ I don’t think where Eli is in the points is the determining factor as eluded above. But Star would def hope for Ferrandis to get in between the two.
