1-1 puts the smackdown at the USGP like he did last year, and shows the rest whos the baddest on a 450.He aint happy with what occurred last week.

1-4.

Eli has the pace to beat anyone, just lacks consistency.

I remember Eli having some issues with the heat in the past.. might play a bit of a role.

He'll need two good starts to go 1-1...didn't he get his first holeshot of the series 1st moto on saturday?

I HOPE he comes from dead last and wins both motos by a minute and a half...but realistically I think he may get a moto win, and a 3rd for like 2nd overall or something.

He will probably be feeling more pressure this week to dominate than last week to phone in the title....

He will do as well as the effort he puts into it. If he is 100% into it then he can go 1-1. If he has some championship hangover or burnout from the season then he could go be anywhere from 2-5 place.

Eli doesn't really seem to handle pressure very well. Now that he is AMA 450cc MX champ will that be more pressure on him to perform? Or are these truly "just for fun" races for him and no pressure to prove to anyone. Depending on what's going through his head will dictate how hard he wants to push and how much he wants to leave on the track.

He'll be racing against mostly Europeans. They have issues with the heat too.

Eli, an American with some experience in the Florida humidity. Additionally, WW is a track he should just be freaking fast on - semi-sandy - massive jumps - Eli will go 1 and 1.

He does to Jeremey Herrings what Stewart did to Reed at Unadilla. Toys with him for a few laps, letting him pass, then passing him back, then letting off again, maybe goes all Conor McGregor and puts his hands behind his back in the corners, then with 10min to go he opens up a 45 second lead and on the podium he revs his bike to the tune of the national anthem like Peter Griffin. Yeah, that's probably it.

(If not, I still think he's gonna go 1-1)

This is a venue Eli should do extremely well in. There's virtually no pressure other than just personal pride. He doesn't have to ride in points protection mode anymore (i.e. "smart ride"). It's one where he can go hang it out and its a type of track he's typically very comfortable riding. I could see him getting a 1-1 if he gets good starts. If he doesn't get good starts, I can see him being on the podium for the overall. But I don't expect anything like last weekend. Clearly that was all about winning the championship, and who can blame him.

ET3 is like a box of freakn chocolates... He could go 1-1 or 6-8, he is about as consistent as a lottery ball machine...

I don't think he'll beat them as badly as last year.
Still think he'll win the overall. Not sure about a 1-1

Not good.

Not blind to his talent, I just don't buy it this weekend.

See ya Sunday.

I like Eli for the win, but the once-lauded domination of US riders has gone away for now, even on our own tracks. It wouldn't surprise me if any number of GP stars took the win. (Herlings, Gasjer, Cairoli...)

ET3

His starts are too inconsistent, He chokes under pressure and loses the bike, His racing is like a pogo stick which makes it too hard to predict. He's either off the pace or races with absolute brilliance.

How's he gonna do? Fuck who really knows.

2-1 bad start in first moto but lets face it, we euros can't handle Florida heat.

I said 2-3 but, as a fan of ET3 I would like to see him get redemption and go 1-1. I think his tendency to get poor starts and lack of Dungey like consistency will hinder him and result in a 2-3 performance after hard charge.

5-6. I just don't see him as dominant as others do. At times he is a beast, but at other times he just looks average. I think he has little motivation, as he is only racing this to fulfill a sponsor obligation. I think Cairoli, Herlings, Gajser, and maybe even Webb finish ahead of him. I have watched every MXGP this year, and there is a lot of talent over there. Should be fun to watch.

He won 4 gp motos last year and banked a big ole ZILCH... If he risks injury and the loss of a potential million dollars (not to mention precious hunting season time) for nothing more than braggin' rights, I'm gonna be shocked.

I'm looking forward to seeing an Eli that's unrestrained by the constraints of trying to wrap up a championship.
