I enjoy seeing what the pro's are wearing each week and I enjoy seeing the variations in colors and designs, even if I have already seen that gear before when it was released. It's still cool to see what Reed or Roczen will wear each Saturday night. Having said that, I hate that Eli consistently wears his same Green/Hi Viz color each weekend. I am pretty sure I recall him poking fun at his 'boring' gear setup this past off season. I would imagine he is contracted to only wear green-ish gear, kind of like Reed was back in the day at Yamaha with his blue gear. In this day and age, I find that odd. I know that Kenny was able to get him and Seeley back control over their helmets at HRC Honda this year, as Honda previously controlled their guy's helmets in the past with the 'Ride Red' theme. Maybe Eli can get his rights back to wear some color.

So the real question is how the hell did Eli get to wear the LE Indy gear that matched the LE boots?! I hope that wasn't a one off thing. Astars has some really cool colorways that I would like to see on the current #1 rider in the world...

At least he's been wearing some different colored boots instead of the white ones every single week.
Yeah. You can tell he tries with the boots, goggles and his custom helmets...

Oddly enough my wife even noticed when tomac wore the blue/orange gear and said it looked better than that green crap he wears every week. I agree. Mixed it up a little!

Wearing different crap every week is lame IMO. I actually dig Eli a least keeps one look.

Glad he and Barcia's Alpinestars stuff is looking better than ever. The first year that Justin wore that "custom" stuff that Alpinestar was giving him...some of it (IMO) was hideous to say the least. I haven't seen anything on either he or Eli recently that wasn't cool.

Ok, ok...Barcias camo AStars gear kit was pretty cool.

I can respect your opinion, but I would bet that given a choice, Eli would be all about wearing some different colors...

Certainly could be, I don't really know what his thoughts are. I don't particularly like the green anyway, I prefer red. I'm just glad he has a uniform.

I looked at the AStars US website and they only have those 2 sets available (that I saw). So maybe they are only letting him wear what is available in the US?

Now, that doesn't explain the stuff Barcia wears.

There's like 20 sets of gear available on A-Stars US site.

There's a limitation from Kawasaki on what he can wear (according to the A-Stars guys).

That's so lame. I think it could actually get him some more exposure if he mixed it up a little. Kinda like roczen does.

Maybe they saw the fugly shit he was wearing while riding for Honda and decided they'd have to take creative control.

I would think Monster doesn't make it much easier for him to get out of the green gear.

And I have no idea what Astars is doing with their gear but it doesn't look all that great, better from a few years ago but I think there's still some room for improvement.

Actually, Ken Roczen would've been in the same three sets or so all year if he wouldn't have been injured.

Eli should stick to the black / green stuff, everything else A-Stars puts out looks absolutely horrid to me. Specially the stuff Barcia wears. I mean, just LOOK at that mess. SickSickSick

I'm a fan of matching the bike. Old school I guess. I'd like to see him in this:

I saw about 15 sets + 2 limited edition sets with boots.

Eli sported some cool gear as a TLD sponsored rider on 50/65/85's. John said back then that Eli controlled his gear look and the bike (as much as he could). Betting TLD would love to have him back.

If I was Kawasaki and saw that stuff Barcia is wearing I'd put limits on it too!

TLD has some good looking gear Eli would look sharp wearing. Like the GP 50/50 gear Seely wears, but in a green! Oh well...

Yea pretty sure Kawi and Monster combined make him wear the green. I've never really loved Astars stuff to begin with. The green gets a little boring sometimes. I was super excited when he wore the blue and orange in Indy. Though I will admit it was a little harder to spot him in the middle of the pack without the green that I'm so used to looking for. I'd like to see more patterns or color combos even if it is just green black and white. They can make that look a lot cooler than they have been making it look.

I suppose its one less thing to think about when he doesnt really have control over it. But he will never win the lit kit award with what he's got.

I feel like I'm in the minority in this thread for people who thought the most recent stuff Eli wore was by far the worst looking gear yet. I'm not really a fan of his gear deal, but the usual green was at least tolerable compared to that mix matched blue and white scheme.

As well on the other hand, I think Barcia has some of the coolest gear on the weekends...

My point was, people were wanting him to change up colors,. He gets paid alot to wear what they tell him.. pretty sure if they out bid, monster kawy ,alpinestars you can tell him what to wear.

For me it does not matter what color a rider wears! Great racing matters.

Agreed,. But it's nice to see some different gear designs ,since they have to wear it.
