Are we witnessing Eli really become the rider everyone knew he could be? To withstand that pressure from MM in the final laps was intense to watch.

I know I have no fingernails left after it. Definitely worth waking up at 3AM to watch. Go Eli!!

That was a dog fight between both of them, him and Marvin bring out the best race wise in each other when they are on their game, that was awesome and extremely intense to watch, you gotta respect and give both him and marvin props for that ride

He finally seems like he's matured where he doesn't have to go balls out anymore and beat Everyone by 30 seconds and then crash out the rest of the season. On the other hand they must have been going pretty dang fast because third place was a minute and 5 Seconds back

I liked that they shook hands after. Not a Tomac fan per se. But props to both of them.

I think marvin was trying to shake hands after the race, like right after the race by mechanics area but Eli must not have seen him. I thought Eli was pulling a dungey on alessi at washougal.

Seeing the racing in person I think, yeah Eli handled the pressure well second moto. First moto I kind of expected more fight from Eli. Marvin was a little faster both motos but not fast enough the second one. It was a good race for sure.

Tomac did it last lap of practice #2, McElrath did it 2 laps in his P2. It was great to watch. Track has changed on the entrance to the jump, which is making it alot harder, if not close to impossible to make it consistently every lap. Lines out there were gnarly today.

Maybe the jump is configured differently now than then? But Benny Bloss told me he did it on press day.

Tomac did it at least once in practice.

Saw him eye it up then jump it a lap later. That section. Doesn't really look much different than when RC would jump it. I think he lost momentum going through the "staircase" after doublin it though.

Not a chance, plus I don’t think Marv would move over and give him another freebie. Nice troll comment by the way!

Ruts today were brutal. Too risky to land in them off that leap.

Once Marvin passed Dungey would have settled for 2nd vs riding ballllls out like that. Huge risk to ride thaat fast but glad it worked out. Eli has slowed down this year when he gets out in front which is good. He keeps it comfy but doesnt have to put a minute 30 on everyone anymore. Lets carry it to sx.

He said in an interview with Will on the broadcast that he has learned to be patient. It's paying off so far

it’s been a long time since we’ve seen Tomac pressured all the way down the stretch.
Usually it’s an easy win or he has made a mistake/tossed it away..
Glad he came away with the win- this was a Marv track.
Tomac just needs to limit the damage at Unadilla and Washougal then this title should be his.

That’s like saying you burned your mouth on coffee before it was cool.

And RV woulda dropped all of them and RC before that

Early in moto 2 Tomac went from 3rd to 1st and we just got a glimpse of him hanging off the back and it looks like he blitzed the big rollers like whoops!
