The sponsored guys its all custom and he prefers the lightest gear he can possibly get. Also this is the second thread on the topic.. Id say when he crashed he broke the buckle which caused them to come loose.

I honestly like Eli though he's a good guy.
It's quite amazing that in this day-in-age we can get an HD Video close-up on a Supercross track, during a race, of a guy buckling his pants. We have to acknowledge that feat as well.
