So happy for Justin getting his first win. But Gawd dang , was Eli in full on beast mode or what?

Was one of THE most impressive SX rides ever. Only a couple others that I can think of that rival it. MC on Peak Honda went from last to win.

Anyone else come from last to win or take a 2nd?

And some say that dude doesn't have heart.

Not even a huge fan but god damn!

Credit where it's due.

And he would have gotten him had he not fallen earlier.

Rick Johnson came from a first turn pile up to win the 1987 LA Coliseum race. Passed Guy Copper on the last lap.

RC at the 2002 Pontiac race crashed to last and got to 2nd.

I think Stew crashed in a heat race and came back to win it. Lol

Eli is wishing this years Daytona was 20 laps.

I honestly didn't expect that when I saw he went down, but yea the experts here say he has no heart and just packs it in any time he has to face some adversity, wonder where those people are now.

I figured that Brayton was in trouble, but it seemed like Tomsc ran out of steam. I guess we have to check the lap times to be sure.

Over the last couple of seasons, Eli has had a few incredible rides, this is up there.

When he's got the bit between his teeth, he's unbelievable to watch. Much like Wacko Zacho!

He was absolutely flying. It kind of seemed like he let up a little when he got behind Brayton though. He was gaining like crazy til the last 2 laps hit.

Awesome ride for sure and glad Brayton came away with the win. Did anyone else notice that Tomac seeing Anderson back in the pack with him kind of lit a fire under his ass? After he passed Anderson it seems like he went into full on beast mode.

Beast mode on. I feel like he's getting more mature. As I said before, getting older will be a good thing for his head.

The timed main hurt him, they only did 18 laps. Last year they still ran it 20 laps even though the season switched to timed races.

So weird....I wanted both Eli and Justin to win , for different reasons. But if I had to pick...I'm glad it was Justin. So stoked for that guy right now. Was just in awe watching Eli though! The dude had a fire under ass tonight.

Chad, RC, JS7 and MC all did it more than once during their careers.

Chad, RC and JS7 would have 30+ seconds on 4th regularly during the 2003-2007 era

Think it was the second last lap or maybe the last lap but he scrubbed that double into the right hander after the finish so hard.

Was thinking the same thing... and if it was daytime Daytona he'd have checked out by 3/4 time probably.

They're sitting in the back seat of the bandwagon with their heads down.
