Why didn't they stick to the format of having an East and West main in place of heat races then a shootout for their "main event"? Just out of curiosity. I think they only ran that for a year or 2. Make them both worth points or make it a two moto overall

Because the Vegas Shoot Out was not taken seriously after the points were awarded in the earlier separate East/West main events.

After the first lap in the shoot out the riders mailed it in and on several occasions guys didn’t even line up for the shoot out because it didn’t mean anything besides bragging rights. They were looking towards outdoors.

Because, as we saw tonight, having them actually race hard during the actual main is way better.

Maybe make the heats longer? 10 min plus a lap?

What came out of that , is that all of the 'racing half the people half the time', and calling the winner a Champion is BS. First proper 250 race in a long time,

Plessinger was ruthless,it was good to watch.

There should be no East/West BS, all should run both coasts like the 450's. Last week at STL the 250 E class was so thin, the racing was boring!

As it's been discussed a million times, if we go full-time on East/West you're gonna lose about 6-8 teams that only have the funding to do one coast each, and the big 250 teams will trim one to two rides each...meaning what we saw last night isn't realistic....there would be about 15 or more rides missing for these guys.
