This just in:

A 5.9-magnitude earthquake hit California today, 94 kilometres north of San Diego, the United States Geological Survey reported.

The magnitude-5.9 quake was centred 45km south of Palm Springs, the US Geological Survey said.

It struck at 4.53pm local time on Wednesday (9.53am today AEST).

A LA County sheriff's spokeswoman said there had been no immediate reports of damage or injuries.

Dammit!!!! I didnt feel anything ......thats like the 3rd one that hit recently that I didnt feel anything from.....I have a lot of stuff that can be knocked over quite easily and through the last 4 not a dam thing has moved in my place.

I am....JK......didn't even knock my surfboard over and I could fart by that thing and knock it over. Im not really wanting a monster to level my place but its a very odd sensation to feel a quake.....I just felt left out on this one Sad

it was right of the san jacinto fault line, next to me...it was like 7.5 mile deep....my house (mobilehome) was rippling i was afreaid it would come of the peers....

I felt quite a few lately, but surfed through this one. This is just warm up for the MX finals at Pala!!! And Xwrench, my property is two blocks from the beach and I still can't see Vegas for six-hours!!!

Back in "83 or "84, I was on my way home from work at Travis AFB, riding my '78 MT250, I thought I was getting a flat tire. The bike just kept wobbling. When I got home the dog and the wife were under the coffee table...eyes like saucers. Not sure how big that one was but it scared them pretty good.
