I know it's super premature to even speculate on who the 2017 SX Champion will be when the checkered flag waves in Las Vegas (or before)...but it's off season, and we have plenty of threads about what graphics & plastics to use, so...why not? Who do you think will do the deed? Who won't? And...why?

Dungey?
Roczen?
Tomac?
Anderson?
Musquin?
Stewart?**
Reed?
Canard?
Grant?

Well I am a Ryan Dungey fan, but I just think this will be Kenny Roczen's year in SX...Ryan will be a very close second, god only knows who will be 3-5th !! toss a coin!

Dungey or Roczen.

Tomac with an outside shot at the title but i can't see how it would happen if both Dungey and Roczen finishes 17 rounds.

I think Roczen puts it all together this season.

I'm picking Roczen for the championship and Musquin as a wild card, he looked hella fast and dialed during those off season events.

I predict someone will win the title, and a bunch of others won't. Gotta keep my options open.Tongue

Realistically, it will come down to Roczen and Dungey. I am going to throw this out there too and give Mushy my pick for 3rd.

tomac, his potential is bigger than anyone's out there. if he gets it all together I really think there is nobody that can hang with him.

Dungey . People saying its K Roc s to lose , come on . its still to this day unreal how little respect Dungey get s. As for Marv coming anyway near this championship, with 3 guy s getting injuryed it wont happen. Dungey ,Ken and Tomac are miles ahead of everyone ,as far as having a chance of winning this championship . jmo

Yea right. Offseason races mean nothing. Especially against a bunch of euros who never race supercross or decent Americans on stock bikes with only bolt ons in

If Roczen stays healthy, he's an easy pick for champion. Dungey will ride to a quiet 2nd overall in the standings on his consistency, but Musquin and Tomac will steal wins (or better finishes) from him on occasion. Webb will take a while to win a race but he'll get on a roll once he does. Dark horse, for sure.

I can see Roczen winning A1...but after that, I see him fighting for a podium, and making most. The difference is, Dungey will make them all.

Musquin spanked him pretty good at straight rythem, kinda surprised me. Dungey got handled at MEC.

Those 2 reasons are why I'm not picking him to win the championship.

I think Dungey will use his consistency to pull it out.

Malcolm wins a race before the season is out. Finishes higher in the standings than Webb.

Rounds 3-4-5 are going to tell the story for Kenny. With a completely new team and new bike, if they are struggling for settings and developing the bike, it will show just before the series moves east. If they have the bike figured out, its going to be a long season for the rest of the field. I dont think it depends on Dungey or Tomac at all. If Kenny has the bike figured out, he is the champ, if he doesn't, its a toss up.

Obviously it will be Roczen for the title. Just based on his previous supercross championships he's pretty much a shoo-in...

I know this is said every year but.....damn that field is STACKED....you have almost a dozen guys on the gate who are a holeshot and/or a lucky break away from a win. My picks:

Tomac
Dungey
Roczen

I wouldn't use the term "dark horse" for Anderson, as he's shown he's consistant top 5, but I got a feeling he's gonna stir up some shit this year.....

I dont know if I see any middle ground for Roczen. I think he is either going to dominate or he is going to crash himself out. His crash at MEC looked like he was inches away from seriously jacking up his season. Everyone is expecting him to go out and blow the doors off these guys by large margins, plus all his talk and boasting during the off season, I wonder if all that is going to get to him and make him ride over his head a bit.

Kenny is my pick to win it all.

The Dunge will no doubt be there.

Moosecan will win one

Anderson to win one but have shitty starts, will be punting bros left and right while quading through the pack

Barcia will hit the rev limiter

Webb will show flashes of brilliance but I think the Yamaha will not allow him to show his full potential

Canard will scrub everything

Seely will get punted by Anderson

Someone is going to say Pourcel is sneaky fast

Dungey. KR is on another level in MX but always has something holding him back in SX. I don't see that changing this year. KR will win a fair amount, but he will also dnf or crash in a fair amount.

Sheesh this is hard. Obviously RD will be there until the end but man Kenny is hottttt right now. ET will be good but not Kenny level. I'm hoping Barcia steps it up but then there's Seely, Anderson, Marvin, Webb...wow this is gonna be fun

Kenny or Dungey. I want to go with Roczen but it's hard to bet against Dungey. I don't see anyone other than those 2 being in the title hunt by the time Vegas comes around. There are definitely others who can get in there and win races, but I just don't think any of them have the consistency at that speed like Roczen and especially Dungey

i am not going to even respond to straight rythem. Remember who won it last year , his SX season was epic . it means nothing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! . Dungey got handled at MEC last year too ,and the year before . guess what happened both times he won the Championship EASY . IMO bar injury this is a two horse race .Ken and Dunge. with tomac a maybe . MM25 ,Anderson etc is in a different lge imo .there could be a few race different race winners this year .But there is no way i see MM25 ,Anderson ,Barica ,trey staying in the top 5 every race on a bad night and winning on good ones
