Bit harsh to say the team will be "B" standard considering the quality of riders we have atm both overseas and in Australia. I think I remember the last MXoN Ferris raced he scored a 22/23 in both his motos.

Definitely in with a chance for a top 5 finish even if Ferris isn't attending the event

3. Swiss

UK must way up. Anstie and Watson are real beasts in the sand.

If the GB guys can find some consistency they could land anywhere on the podium. Switzerland could be a real wild card if they can get a decent Moto out of Guillod. Seewer and Tonus can both have good results. Belgium will really miss Desalle but they’re still solid like always. They should be well inside the top 10 overall.
1. Netherlands (if Herlings races)
2. France
3. Switzerland
4. USA
5. Great Britain
6. Belgium

I’ll be switching my picks up a little once Australia is announced. They’ll most likely sneak into my top 5.

I would say GB will be 3rd or 4th, could even win with the sand riders we have but the stars will definitely need to line up.

This is not a bad prediction. Guillod might be a dud for the Swiss. GB I think can do really well. Anstie and Watson have potential to podium or even win their classes on a good day. GB has a lot of talent to choose from on the third spot too. It will be a helluva race, can't wait 😋

If Simpson had performed in Lommel like we all know he can, I'd definitely put GB up there with the Netherlands and France but at this point I'm not even sure you guys would pick him over say Watson on a 450 and Sterry on the 250

exactly. Each year there is at least one team that shines above what should be their ceiling and atleast one that gets shafted.

My picks for shiners are Swiss and Italy; for shafters Belgium and NZL (sorry kiwis no hard feelings just my wild guesstimate)

With Herlings and Cairoli not in shape and Prado in a 450, he can easily be te overall winner.
France looks favorite with Viale in the team. Holland in a close second if Herlings is in the grid and Spain third.
USA in Assen will be a tough day for their fans.

Just out of curiosity, what makes you think Spain is a podium threat?

Butron hasn’t been inside the top 20 this year. And who will be their 3rd rider? I mean sure, Prado can go out and win but he can’t carry the entire team to a podium. Top 10? Sure. But not top 3.

Can’t see Spain getting 3rd, the only decent sand rider they have is Prado.

My question mark of choosing Sterry over Simpson is that he is unproven on a 450 & tends to make small mistakes.

Unless they put Watson on a 450.

I think this year will be great. With Ferrandis out the french aren't as strong as they could be. Still the clear favourite but Vialle doesn't have much experience. He had a great season but mxdn is a different beast.

I'd say NED, FRA, US on the podium. Not sure about who's 1st 2nd or 3rd. I would not be surprised to see the US team win. One thing is for sure: these two husky riders are not going to give up no matter what happens. Not sure about Cooper. With AC instead of Cooper this team would be a lot better.

will Prado be on the 450 for this race?

I doubt it, as far as I’m aware he’s never ridden a 450 in competition.

|

8/12/2019 7:34 AM

I think Prado could go 1-1 on a 250 to be honest. He holeshots every moto and rips in the sand.

|

8/12/2019 7:52 AM

GBR wins, and the U.S.A. won't podium at that track and the U.S. fans will make excuses, but none are needed because much respect to any racer and team that shows up.

Spain was 7th at Redbud basically with Prado. Prado is confirmed in a 450 for Assen. With the Championship nearly booked, has plenty of time to step up to the 450. Who is going to stop him?. Spain will confirm Larranaga for mx2 and probably Valentin for Open.

its time we win MXON , Assen is the perfect place and I'll be there to cheer for the team
Jeffrey , Glenn and Calvin or Roan are a great team for Assen ..

1- Netherlands

3- USA .
4- France

would be a surprise , as he stated last week he has not raced a 450 yet and there wont be much time to adjust to a 450
but who knows ... he will race the mxgp series next year so he has to get on that big bike some day
