Here is the much anticipated Mecatecno adult size e-trials bike. Will come with a spare battery and charger right around the 7k range. Has the same high end suspension that the Gas Gas has and is priced 1500$ less. 2.5 hours riding time and 123 pounds or 20-30 pounds less than a standard 2 stroke trials bike. I am the Boise dealer and have been building up a trials/endurox course to take advantage of a quite motorcycle workout. Also bike has hydraulic clutch and 3 speed trans. Puts out about the equivalent of 20hp for 30 second bursts such as a hill climb section.

Pretty cool mate, what's the run time like? Not sure you can really go comparing weights to the Alta though, if that's where you were going with the "done right" comment? Chalk and cheese almost.

The three speed tranny and clutch on an E bike intrigue me too.

Enough power for trials and tribulations. This is the final version of the preproduction models. I will get more information out there when available. Battery is a 52 volt system.

Pretty cool for what it is, but if you are trying to compare this to an Alta, you're barking up the wrong tree.

I think trials is likely the first area we will see electric "take over" with the youth offerings from Osset already being quite successful.

That looks like a lot of fun. I was just talking to my long time best friend yesterday about electric bikes and trials bikes. Unfortunately, $7,000 isn't going to happen for most people in my opinion. At least around here where the appeal is trying to get away with (illegaly) riding in the trails at your local park. Too much money to risk not having anywhere to ride. sad
