Heal up DF. Looking forward to seeing you win on the "blue pig" and breaking the curse.

Fuck... But lets hope it's just a minor fracture. There should be enough time for it to heal if it isn't something serious.

Almost seems like spun up the face and didn't get the drive needed to clear, looks like he was way short.

Glad to read he's okay.

That rhythm section looks to be a challenge---one big jump after another. Seems there is not enough time for a fully compressed suspension to recover..almost like riding a pogo stick on uneven ground.

It's all fun, to watch and hit those jumps, until it's not. Cost benefit analysis. Flame on!

Plentiful 2-3' mounds, it used to be 5-6' mounds but not quite in such succession. How about SX takes out one combo per lane and uses that dirt to mound over, steepen and slow the overall speed and pocket time.

Can someone post what he did wrong? I'll make sure DV relays the message...

This is so true! I wish SX would go back to taller steeper jumps instead of high speed combos. The Mcgrath and RC era style jumps. It's safer and more entertaining. Get well soon DF.

Video gives new meaning to "flying" at the test track.

What a bummer. Hope he heals up well!

Hopefully he’s Healthy for the next Race!! Really Fun watching him Racing!
I’m just a beginner but looking like he didn’t give enough throttle and came up short! My
Coach keeps telling me more throttle!
Stay Safe all!

That is the very first thing I thought. The big blue pig sure has hurt a bunch of guys, and guys leaving it have done well...
That is the very first thing I thought. The big blue pig sure has hurt a bunch of guys, and guys leaving it have done well on their next ride. Down vote it if you want, but Webb, Barcia most recently and others prior.

Hammer
You're so so so right, no other bike/oem has injured riders and Webb didn't get hurt on the orange pig this year or Barcia didn't get hurt in the yellow pig in '17.

Is it the gyroscopic inertia by the vertical head that everyone's claiming this pig is the warthog? Should the displacement decrease or the change the angle of the head? Power is sufficient, would shaving off 50cc's make this machine handle better?

So now Ferrandis and Drake out... This sport is brutal.

Same jump too.
Is that jump type anything they haven't seen in sx before?
They completely rebuilt the track before this week and just the rhythms need work, the transitions are kinda rough and they’re peaky, so it’s easy to blow the shock through the stroke. On Monday, I think I saw 6-7 guys go down around the track in different places.

Ferrandis told us that the injury will not require surgery for the broken bone in his hand and that the crash happened because "The take-off was shot and I just misjudged it."

Someone needs to Shop Ferrandis above Chad Reed's head in the other Thread. At least we'll have the answer.

Is that road safety barrier right beside the track?

Until I looked at the dates, I thought this was new!
