Ryan has won,and will continue to win championships. He has demonstrated the gut and determination to compete in the top level of a professional sport.Mr. Dungey has earned my respect by being able to race with the elite of the sport. The people that can do that at any one time are very far and few between. He has been very professional with victory and defeat, and I will always be a fan of his, for the remainder of his career. So many`blazing speed`riders I have seen fall out of their career, after one or two short years.Ryan Dungey is going to have a career that the MX world will talk about for a long time. You have to finish a race to win it.He'll be there at the end.So few injuries for the level he has attained.I'm amazed at the speed he can maintain without many of the crippling injuries we have seen some of our favorites succumb to.
Dungey has already earned his reputation in the MX world, and unfortunately it won't be the rep of a champ. It'll be the rep of the guy that was always there, but couldn't win. I said in another post, that a champion wins, and doesn't just hang in hoping the winner crashes. He's got the worst press ever this year. His performance has been questioned. He'll never be thought of as a champion in MX or SX. He'll always be the guy guy that could have had it. On the other hand, he's probably a smart dude, and making tons of money losing. Finish on the podium most of the time, ride safe, don't get hurt, get the sponsor bucks, factory support, all good. He doesn't need to win. He's set for life already, why hurt himself. He's a smart dude, milking it all without putting himself too far in harms way. Maybe that's his goal, and not a championship.

What are you smoking?
...He HAS won every major title known to MX/SX. Yes he doesn't risk it going for a block pass....which can be annoying (Phx last weekend). But as the other member commented on. It's absolutely crazy how fast he goes while consistently keeping it on two wheels and not getting any major injuries. The dude is fast as hell and looks like he isn't even trying. The guy gets a bad wrap, I think his story of how he got to where he is and where he is now is remarkable.
I still say, and always will say he was better on the Suzuki. His corner speed and his whoop speed to be specific.
You know, Jeff Ward rode pretty much just like he did. They used to say always the brides maid, never the bride about him and he won championships just like Dungey has.

He could be so much more if he had 10% more aggression, not on edge but just more aggression passing when he comes up on someone, you gotta get by quick the longer you wait the harder it is to pass.

Are you retarded? Like, seriously, are you mentally handicapped??
Your post is probably the dumbest thing I have ever read on Vital.
You are only as good as your last race and if Dungey wins this week with or without a block pass for the lead, all of this negative press will go away very quickly.
I think you're mistaken Outsider...The videos look to be pretty much full of RV nut sucklers to me! Except for the ball gag/stroking that's mandatory for RV'dom. There's even a still frame of you in your bikini!!!!
Better go on a diet....you got cellulose

Totally agree, and many of the people that keep saying he hasn't got it will NEVER have it. Appause for Dungey for racing the MXon also, he puts his hand up every time. I was pretty disappointed with the comments about his performance in Germany this year. He still led the team in points and will be back in 2014 to do the same.

Dungey had won EVERY SINGLE American 250 / 450 mx/sx Championship there is to win ( as well as MXoN ) so where the hell is this "will never have the rep of a champ" coming from?
I swear to God, some of you guys are just frickin idiots! Do you know anything about the sport?
