I would love to see it.... clearly the Yamaha riders are falling in to place behind J-Mart.... what is the possibility that KTM sends in RD to even the odds?

I doubt It but.... it would be interesting and more fair.....

could they? would they? I would love to see it..

There's a 0% chance Ryan Dungey will ride a 250 next Saturday. I get what you're saying about helping Marv but dropping a 450 rider to help a 250 guy just isn't done....

You are dreaming but damn..it would be awesome to see.

There is a better chance of KTM bringing someone else from the GP side but unlikely. Marvin is gonna need to do it on his own.

Hey..maybe KTM starts passing some suspension and motors to the guys currently on KTMs....you know. .one hand washes the other???

Regardless...two point difference and two heats left. Sure is going to be interesting.

How cool would it be if Dungey went to a 250 next week to help out his buddy Marvin?

Hannah raced the 125 class to put enough pts between Glover and Laporte to give Broc the championship.
Hannah's mechanic at the time was Keith McCarthy who now runs the Yamaha mx team.

And Washougal 85, end of series, Honda moved riders to 250 class (3 classes back then) to hopefully help change a championship points battle.

I highly doubt Dungey would do it, but it has been done.

It

ain't

gonna

happen

Even if it does, who's to say RD#5 would even be on the leading pace.

Nup, not even.

Whole different riding style involved. If we were talking JB#51 I might agree.

He'd be mad to ride in the crazy class before the MXDN.

I do not see it happening, Dungey is good friends with the Martins and kinda grew up at Millville so deep down he probably wants to see Jeremy win the title.

Yep. Not like the rc/brownie situation where they trained together all year and Ricky wanted Brown to beat Langston almost as much as brownie did himself. Dungey is good friends with Martin and Marvin, and doesn't really have any incentive to drop down (no win record like rc). You have to be a bad mother fucker to do what Ricky did, I think Dungey would be the 4th fastest guy speed wise and I highly doubt he's pulling any holeshots.. Just my opinion.

So although It would be cool, I'd give him a better chance of running a 2 stroke.
(And that's .00000001%)

Grinning now this is funny right here. Dungey just can't seem to do anything to gain some respect. He's one of the best ever. He could bump down and be competitive.

The 85 season is what instantly came to my mind too. Team Honda...managed by Roger DeCoster...puts Bailey and Lechien on the 250 to help out Omara vs Ward.

2015, Team KTM...managed by Roger DeCoster...

I've been wondering myself.. If he has been injured it's understandable, but if not, well it's on him. Maybe someone has some info. I was thinking he'd have a great year after his MEC performance last fall.

Dreamland here but it would be awesome to see him on the 250 smoker. Sales would go through the roof wouldn't you think if he pulled this off....will never happen.

Maybe this wouldn't play into it, but I thought Dungey and Martin were pretty close from being MN natives and training at Carmichaels. Could be wrong but I could not see Dungey trying to sway a championship that he's not involved in.
