Dungey stepped it up when he felt pressured by RV and set his fastest lap of the Main on the final lap, so apparently he was holding back a little something during the first 19. Great job by Ryan, Roger and the rest of the guys at KTM!

Lets see if RV made a mistake on the last lap who do you think is gonna have a faster lap? RV or RD? Really?

Didn't you realize that when another rider makes a mistake all the riders in front of him get a little power boost?

Come on man what are you new here?

Try to comprehend, nitwit...I didn't say he had a faster lap than Villopoto, I said he had something left, because he set HIS fastest lap on the final lap.

What are you talking about? Everybody knows Dungey crumbles under the slightest hint of pressure!

This is exactly what we needed in the 450 class. Dungey was solid last night, and this will bolster his confidence. He was making fewer mistakes than 'Poto, who you have to give credit for not playing safe. He was going for it, and wasn't going to settle for second.

James looked good. I think he's got things sorted out.

Making mistake when trying to run someone's pace....means you can't run their pace. It was RD's night and thats that

That was an impressive ride for him, he really stepped up his game. I bet the KTM-haters are trying to come up with something though, maybe there's something to be found in the lites?Grinning

Agreed. Kudos for the desperate charge by Villopoto, great to watch.
But the way Dungey kept it cool, and smooth, great ride for orange.

The techincal track lends itself to Dungey's strengths..

Lots of talk about the top riders this season, just like always.Seems whomever leads, has the advantage. That just happened to be Dungey last night. He did great, just as Villo, Reed and Stewart have as well.

Really too bad Reed is out of that mix..

I agree 100%. I was telling my friend that when RV gets out front he can set a blazing fast pace and stay there but it seems that RD sets his pace at 80% until he needs more.RD looked very good last night.

Dungey has always had speed to spare. He never rides on the edge, so yeah it makes sense that he CAN push a little harder when its on the line...its not a revelation...

I think Dungey will be remembered among other things for being a very mature rider very early in his career. I think he has better than many learned to art of knowing how fast he needs to ride. So many guys get out front and continue to push harder than needed and wad up, or push too hard to get caught up when behind with plenty of race left. Of course we all like to see someone "check out" with the lead and show their dominance but the records don't keep track of how many seconds you won by. Unless your RC and are the first rider to lap the entire field. It's very impressive to see him aggressive this year but still smart.
