So I was getting my truck washed today and had a talk with a pretty cool guy. We talked all things Moto for a good while. When Dungey’s name came up I was told 100% for certain that Dungey is coming back, but not until 2019 SX season. I asked if he was sure and he said “absolute fact and he knows he retired too soon.” I figure an actual Mookie probably knows what he’s talking about.

I wasn't a fan of dungeys until he retired. I doubt he will come back (since RD said so), but I'd love to see it.

All I know was that Mookie was sincere when talking about it. Said Ryan has had over a year off and really misses racing. His batteries are re-charged.

It happens. Dungey is still pretty young.


As for James, he said he wants to come back and he doesn’t. A lot of things have to line up right. I didn’t press for more. I’m sure he gets enough of it. I just enjoyed talking to him. Super super super cool.

What’s funny is that you and Uptite think YOU know more than someone who sees Dungey on a weekly basis.

Like I said, I didn’t even bring Dungey’s name up. We were talking about James season getting derailed at A1 in 2016 with the Dungey take out. And he offered the whole Dungey’s racing again. I said the “Nationals”, and Malcolm said, no SX in 2019. I asked seriously and that’s when he said “that’s a fact and that he realized he retired too early.”

If it happens, it happens. Mookie is sincerely convinced. Where he got that from, was obviously from some place reliable enough to believe it.
