The endless criss crossing of the continent is one of the problems we already have with what we've got now. This is even more. Your dream is a privateer's nightmare as far as the traveling goes.

Maybe at some point in the Future this could become a reality stay with me on my fantasy, lol
How it could become a reality is when electric bikes
Get to the point that they are equal to our ice Bikes they start using them in supercross, The riders that want to Ride supercross go that way , and the riders that want to
Remain on Ice and prefer outdoors, do this series and schedule, we as fans win because we get to watch Both Smile

My dream national season would start with something like...

Hangtown, Washougal, and Thunder Valley before heading east of the Mississippi.

I've done it many times. I don't need to imagine. Wink

Actually, the way I've done it the last several years is to drive the first nine races. After making the trip to Washougal, I turn south to go home, and fly to the last three events.

Actually, driving wise, it's much better than most schedules. Starts with 2 rounds in FL, then 3 in CA, then 2 in TX then a few on the east coast.

Besides, here's the tradeoff. Subsequent rounds in the same vicinity cannibalize attendance. So do you make it easier for the privateers and drivers, but make the series as a whole less valuable, or mix it up to try to draw people from the same region to more events and have more driving?

Well, except for the fact that SX isn't going anywhere any time soon....

My ideal schedule would look more like 13 rounds of SX and 12 of nationals, with a 3-4 week break in between to actually build some anticipation for outdoors instead of plowing right into them. I'd also like to see a group of 6-8 iconic "core" outdoor tracks that never change (Red Bud, Unadilla, Washougal, Glen Helen, Mt. Morris, Hangtown, Southwick), with the other 4-6 rounds rotating to different venues (some of the ones OP mentioned would be good picks.) Get our guys on some different tracks and terrain would keep it interesting and make them better riders as well, instead of the same set of tracks every year.

I would change the last race to give less a break for the MXON. We don't want USA getting sluggish...

I used to have this recurring nightmare where I'm hitting a big booter of a double and mid air my front wheel falls off the bike. I always woke up immediately before impact.
You're on thd right track for sure just a few scheduli ng tweaks.
