So apparently milestone has been sold. (https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/12685-Holly-St-Riverside-CA/9072506/)

Haven't seen any other information about this. But whats going to happen with Southern California mx? Piru gone, sunrise mx, aka racetown 395 has a big ass for sale sign on it (drove past it last friday 7/26/19)Comp edge is closed, elsinore closed. Av motoplex is gone too.

Wtf is going on here.

Man, that sucks. Seems like tracks are going down everywhere. Here in Utah there's been 4+ tracks that have closed down in the last ten years. This is heartbreaking if it means milestone is no more.

I thought I saw a post a few months ago that the owners of milestone were opening a new track along with reopening star west.

On their private tracks, Allesi was the only guy ive seen riding with us squids. Seen some of the canandian guys at bostwick.

Isn't Starwest the track right in the middle of a neighborhood? How is that not going to go over like a lead balloon?

Its on fairgrounds. They also race loud-as-puck cars there.

Growing the sport are we...i think not just filling the coffers of big business who do nothing for those that truly keep the sport alive.
AZ is down to 4 tracks from 10 just a few years ago and they are not the best of the 10 by any means.
But hey we can watch SX on our phones woo hoo!! just don't have anyplace to ride.

I was waiting in line to get into Perris last week. Spoke to the dude about this who was getting the waivers signed. He said the property has not been sold. He said they(don't know who they is, maybe the land owner) had the property surveyed and this listing is the result. He said not only has it not been sold, but the environmental portion of the survey was not very favorable, and it would take a heavy investment(Neighborhood of 2M) to correct the grade and soil contamination on the site. So for what that's worth, sounds like it's safe for the time being. But like all things So Cal, the day WILL come when that dirt is too valuable and it will go away.

No doubt. Then you hear about Utah Sports Commission committing $20,000,000.00 in advertising assets for the supercross finale and it's like WTF??? That amount of money could probably support 2 more state funded tracks for... 5-7 years? Guessing. But what do I know.

Hard to believe that Milestone will be a housing development.

The area it's in is fairly industrial and a wee bit sketchy.

I am going with this^^^^ not too many housing developments in the area, its near the “dump” and actually has some very low income housing on site and in the close vicinity up to and including street living. Not sure how someone can develop it and justify > $30 a day in that area???

Those were way before my time, my dad has stories about those places though... The one place i wish i could ride that he fondly remembers is De Anza.

We are all in the same boat, if it were not for a local track owner close to me with a great track to ride at, I would have moved by now...I live in upstate NY at the base of the Adirondack state park, the largest protected land mass in the USA, nothing but woods and land.......and no off road bikes allowed....
