Sounds crazy. I don't really mind as long as it doesn't take out cases or cylinders. Doing full motor rebuilds kinda therapeutic from my stressful job.

I hear you....therapeutic.. but I bet your wallet begs to differ.

Lose the cylinder and casings then graciously grease your dot and bend over...

A 4t is not all that much even with head work. Little over 1000 bucks tops.

Might not be a lot to you, but to most of us 1K is still a good chunk of change to spend repairing a "toy".

Yeah, it sucks. There’s a reason my YZ250 has been parked since October 2017. Grinning

At least it didn’t saw the engine and transmission in half requiring a part out. How do I know this?

when someone calls and says their bike is making a weird noise I tell them to take the oil filter out, wipe in there with your finger and see if it has stripper glitter on it they usually laugh, that is till they do have glitter and I give them the bad news

It’s much worse when the stripper glitter is the size of breakfast cereal flakes.

I wish my picture of the oil pan showed. Way too many chunks to be happy.

I agree with you. But it sure is expensive. It knocked out the case between the motor and the tranny. And I have yet to break into the cylinder and check

Around 60. It was a spare bike I was selling and during the test ride it grenaded. Safe to say I didn’t sell it

I like it when your valves decide they were installed upside down and autocorrect themselves...

I know. It’s so complicated to fix compared to my 125. I could do my 125 blindfolded but I can’t do my four stroke with even a manual.
