How will zach do when he moves to the 450 this summer? Top 10?

I don't think anyone is going to run with Eli very often outdoors. At least not consistently. But I'm sure Zach is better than a 10th place guy. The guy is a beast himself.

According to Matthes and RacerX he's back on the 250 for the summer. Even if he raced 450 I don't think he'd challenge Tomac, Baggett, and Musquin right away. Think he'd be a consistent top 10 with some top 5s and maybe a podium by the end of the year with a good start.

I can't wait to see it. I think he's going to be quick and have excellent conditioning as well as the experience to manage a championship. Should be an awesome summer! It will suck if Osborne doesn't move up to the 450's.

from Matthes on Racer X...

if you look at last year's title, Zach Osborne won it by almost a hundred points. That's crazy to me because it's such a deep field of riders. We expect Osborne to be back in it to defend his #1 plate (he was slated to move to 450s, but they probably threw a chunk of money at him to stay down), so he's got to be the favorite.

Nope, that will be Anderson’s job. Management gets giddy running #1 plates, it’s just business.

so it's ET's outdoor title to lose now? Laughing

Has been since the end of outdoors last year when he earned the number one plate. It's always the defending champ's to lose unless they aren't in it.

No. Except Zacho rarely crashes out. Hell tip over sometimes but hes good at finding his way to the podium even if its toward the end of the race. But Tomac is on that next tier of speed right now that on a 450 is only reached by few. Whereas on 250’s theres just a higher amount of people who dominate. Think about it, the last 7 Supercross 450 championships have been won by 2 guys. How many different 250 riders have won in that time, even if you just pick one or the other coast? Cooper webb went on a run similar to Zach and then when he moved up was a 10th place guy for a year. I think they need more slots in the 450 class per team though and more higher paying teams in general-so mutiple factory teams per bike...think Blake Baggett. That way instead of having like 10 really fast guys you can have like 15. Jeremy Martin should be up there already, Zacho soon, Davalos, Plessenger, Craig, Hill, Savatgy and AC soon, Alex Martin, Nicoletti. The 450’s should be full of elite riders imo, the cream of the motocross crop, not 6 fast guys and a bunch of nobodys who are speed bumps. The 250s have more fast guys than the 450 class because its cheaper so they can put more guys out there. I think it shoud be that way in the premier class, but they need to draw more people to the sport and noot have it on tv so late on random channels. Especially mx where sometimes 1 moto is on one random channel and moto 2 on another.

If Zach does indeed move up to the 450, i say top 10 at the first 3 or 4 rounds and then he'll be in the top 5 with an occasional podium maybe. But he wont touch Tomac, as i dont really see anyone running with Tomac on a consistent basis. IMO Osborne should ride the 250 outdoors. He earned thay number 1 plate, why not run it? Hes worked his whole life to get that number 1 plate, and who knows, it could be the last one he gets. Husky already has to contender with Anderson, and a top 7 guy with Wilson, let Osborne defend that outdoor title.

Only one close to Tomac will be Musquin. As for Roczen- who knows. Too many injuries. And a serious ones.
It`s the last year for Musquin to get outdoor title. If you ask me- his last chance. He`ll be 29 this year. There hasn`t been 450 champion older than 29, ever. Mcgrath did it in SX, but he was ahead of his time.

so Osborne is almost 29 , so its his last chance too if he moves up to 450

No, because they won't be racing in the same class.

If Baggets wrist is fully healed i think hes closer to Tomac then Musquin will be.
