How the F does marvin (the whoop jumper) crush his radiator and seemingly lose all coolant on the first lap, then literally sprint the rest of the race to get 6th. I thought for sure his top end would melt down before 20 minutes. Do these bikes even need water at this point? Is that $50/qt motorex so good that a water cooled bike does not need water?
Also: Kenny and Cole were PASTRANA fast through the hoops. God forbid someone like Eli gets back on a honda and turns his weakest part of the track into his best.... just saying.

They are way more impressive than your posts.
It would nice to know, from one of our engineering brethren, if it’s likely that your bike was “thermo-syphoning” the coolant and that was enough to cool it...?
Pit Row
Tore it down last night. This was the culprit. Very glad I found it. Could have been bad. Lol I have no idea if it was siphoning but it doesnt look like it damaged the piston or cylinder.
Who would think at the highest level of the sport carrying a whole other useless exhaust pipe would make a difference.
What if one had no friction except clutch. On these ktm 450 motors im sure they are almost frictionless, i know for a Fact there are processes out there that can make parts have less friction and when you are putting 100k into a race machine, why would you even want friction, you wouldnt! They have had this thing dialed and figured out for years, Supercross is a SHOW, those engines are near frictionless. so no heat developing, and when there is self lubrication part processes (cough) kashima (cough) there would you really even need the coolant. You do for longevity of parts, but for one race probably not.
