He's a cool guy and doesn't afraid of anything

I like him most of the time, he definitely makes the racing more interesting. But sometimes he gets ahead of himself and doesnt know when to stop talking, cant forget his wacky ass sayings too.

I like ralph but weege would be a better fit. He already does every other form of moto so why not keep it consistent.

I like Ralph too ! Very professional and he knows how to make the racing interesting. IMO he has become over the years the voice of SX

ralph...... he iight , i dont have a problem with him but to me theres some thts better than him imo & for our sport in particular currently id rather have weege or fro over him , now if we were to bring in others from other sports , def bring tony romo over or mauro ranallo

He is a professional but motocross is not in his natural wheelhouse. It continually detracts from the broadcast and has not improved in over 10 years.

Most moto guys don't like Ralph. But not one of them is going to stop watching SX because of Ralph. He is a professional journalist. He brings it down a level or two so that the causal fan can have a better understanding of what is going on. He is actually good for SX. You can't just have a couple of moto guys in the booth. They end up speaking more "moto talk" and the casual fan ends up getting lost in what they are talking about.

If weege took over everyone would start crying about not enough diversity. Keep Ralph, he’s like a little teddy bear that puts me to sleep, and I’m not complaining

Met him in Vegas after an sx race, he's a cool dude.

I've also met and talked to him and he really cares about how he comes across to his audience . Very approachable nice guy. I think he does a great job Of course he's no Weege...

No idc much for wedge aka Kirk Cameron, he knows his stuff but is not exciting like Ralph and you need that in sx for the casuals.
Joey Gladstone is a fruit cake and his name suits him perfectly- “Ralph” idc so much that he doesn’t ride, it’s that I just imagine if he were at home in the summer time flipping through channels he would rather be watching a college basketball game over an outdoor race... That’s my problem. He’s not a true fan and when your not you make ridiculous mistakes. The ONLY thing I like about him is when a battle is good and he starts shouting, it actually makes it more exciting in my opinion and a lot of others or they wouldn’t have kept him for so long.

Yeah, Ralph is the voice of sx. I’ve never understood the hate for him

I like Ralph. I just think he is terrible at his job . I can t see how anyone thinks he is good .

He's light years ahead of where he was when he first started, that's for sure. I think he does his job really well, and not a lot of people can do it in my opinion. When he first started commentating, he talked over Jeff all the time and his excitement level was too high at times, but he found that balance and he does a good job.

Ralph is a great for the average fan who doesn't know much about the sport. He is professional and has made a name for himself outside of Supercross. For the die hard fans he just comes off a little uninformed. He made it sound like Dean Wilson was riding a completely stock 250 and showed up to the race with his pick up and a case of coors. I really miss the Art Eckman, David Bailey days. Make Supercross broadcasting great again!

I just watch the races and enjoy them. I don’t know why people really scrutinize him or any of them.

To me hiring a girl to ask the riders questions who has no clue of the sport grinds my gears.

To be fair, that kind of is how it works in the eyes of the FIM. Leader carries the red plate, for first round the reigning champ is deemed to be the points leader.

I don't know Ralph, so hard to say if I would "like" him, but I have no problem with the job he does. Again, I just don't attach that much importance to the guys in the booth. At the end of the evening I don't even remember anything they've said unless it was something very dramatic like Roczen's crashes. Other than that, I'm there for the racing - not the announcing. I do kind of like the way Ralph is a "Go big or go home" kind of announcer.

That would qualify someone to state their opinion on the commentators for supercross...eye roll.

Ralph is clear and well spoken. He rarely, if ever, trips over his words and keeps the commentating going. Everyone here likes and follows the sport to the point that we are signed up for, follow, and comment on a message board. is the guy on the broadcast really making or breaking the racing for you on Saturday nights? If he makes something out of nothing on the track he will get criticized for not knowing what is going on. if he doesn't, we say he's boring. Ralph is very good at his craft.

Starting a new thread about whether people like Ralph is dumber than anything he has or will ever say.

Ralph is great at his job.

Obnoxious, annoying lines right after the gate drops. Aside that, tolerable.

I think his style is better suited to left-turn-only bumper cars. IMO he gets too worked up and obsesses over little things that don't really matter. Sometimes he reiterates useless points and sounds like he's beating a dead horse. I think he'd be more popular if he didn't try to dramatize things so much.

Why does everyone always complain about everything, stop worrying about dumb crap and enjoy the dang race. I hardly pay attention to what any of the commentators say while the race is going on. Oh Ralph sucks oh Ricky sucks, just stop complaining. I personally love having Ricky on the broadcast. Yall want to complain because he messes his words up here and there who cares hes the GOAT and its awesome to have him in the booth!

I think he's great. He's an awesome guy in person (outside of the tv stuff). You guys have to remember that his TV personality has to cater to the entire audience, from die hard motocross guys to 1st time watchers.
