This is brutal but if you’re not making the night show, and some mains in the 250 class that has all the riders from both coasts, it’s time for MX to be a hobby, not a job.
So let’s pretend that all the 250 guys were healthy.
With your logic, everyone outside the top 40 should find a new job ?

Top 20 guys (random list) -
All with factory support

Craig would work Jett imo. Craig's whoop speed is significantly faster than Jett's.

I'm looking forward to it. I hope they both start 1 and 2 in the main and put on on a clinic.

We forget when jett was in 13th and caught Craig who was in 2nd..

Jett was pretty far back. I wouldn't be surprised if he was further back then 13th. Did he crash twice? I remember something happened. Then he tangled with another rider on the wall jump. And had to come back down the front and go back up again.
In that race jett woyld have been 15-20 seconds behind Craig after 5 laps.

Jett VS Christian VS Mosiman VS Mcadoo VS Hunter

Plus Hampshire, Shimoda, Brown...

Yeah, I want to see that race more often than not.

Jett mentioned in the most recent interview he wont be pushing it come east vs west. He said if Craigs in front, he would settle for second. His priority is staying in front of Macadoo and the championship.

The way I see it is the east/west shoot out is the opportunity for jett to extend his points by a big margin. So his goal should be to push to beat Craig.
Atm jett can beat mcadoo by 20+ seconds and he only extends by 3 points.
In the east/west there is potential macadoo finishes behind Hunter, mosiman and shimoda or a couple of them. If jett beats Craig that's 3 more points. So that could be 9 points gained in 1 weekend instead of 6. So I see it as an opportunity for jett.

The whole series should be changed into a MotoGP model, 3 classes, 125/250 Amateurs, 250 Premier and 450 Premier.

This way privateers/young factory riders can be in the amateur class.

Qualifying and main events.

I'm pretty sure the world supercross will be based on something like this.

good for racing, yes. but unfortunately, almost half the rides if that happens.
Not true. What if I told you those same teams already run their 4-6 riders in the outdoor national series...

Yes, at least three and make it the 250 supercross series - preferably it would be every round or the first half split into coasts then the second half of the year all that qualify going into the final rounds for the national championship, like the playoffs.

Yes, everyone outside the top 40 in a combined 250 class should find a new job and ride for fun. Why risk the injuries and defer pay / starting a career for 5-10 years?

Look, I get giving it a full go for 2-3 years at the pro level. If you can't break the top 40 in the little class by then, you will never make good money racing dirt bikes. Hell, even if you are just cracking the top 40 in the 450 class, you probably won't make much money racing.

I moved to Temecula, rode full time, trained with Ryan Hughes. After 2 years, and I knew I was just never going to be fast enough to make a living riding. I enrolled in community college and kept riding for fun.

This in no way would "hurt the sport". 99 percent of people go to the races to see the top guys in the 450 class, not the people who can barely make it through the whoops. Presumedly, these dudes would still buy bikes and parts and ride for fun.
