If you are around my age (49) go here and page through these pics and read what DB has to say about each.

If you are a younger person, go there and try to understand why all of us old guys dig the old school stuff (as well as new stuff) so much

Lake Sugartree is about 20 minutes from my house. That place was so great when David owned it- best track ever!

His uncle owns it now and farms out the promoting, pretty much sucks these days.

Great slide show! Bailey is the best. We need him back in the booth at the nationals and SX.

I know, Bobby. Kind of looks like Johnny, eh? The gay JT gators are a dead giveaway. That was a school bike that I used to ride up there when I wasn't being worked to death. See the little GBMX school #1 sticker on the front plate? I put that there.

What's funny is that those short-shorts will come back in style one day and everyone will look at old pictures and say, "Thank god nobody wears those clam diggers anymore..." I'm holding out for the mullet to come back in style...Can't Wait!

I cased the crap out of that jump right in front of David at his school.
He came flying over on his ATV and said "that was real sketchy. You gotta compress the suspension. Do it again."
I didn't case it anymore after that.

Nothing to that thing now- just a blip on the 450.

That was so awesome. Made my day! I am a big DB fan (and about your age).

I watched the endurocross the other night and it was really good to hear him "back in the booth". Dude rules!

I see David, RJ, Ward and O'Mara around SoCal at the tracks and O'Mara mountain biking. I can talk no problem with everyone but David. I choke up every time and cannot even think straight or say one word to him!

Haven't ridden since 03....third child was born in August 03...So now I had a 6 year old, 3 year old and a newborn...sold the bike and the boatSad
My next bike will be a 2010 Honda ...my son will be 10 and he'll get his first bike next Christmas too....
I was a club member at ECMX...fun track for being so flat...sandy! About an hour from me.
I'm sure some of my buddies will be racing down there...Hell, you may know Rich Cornwall...35 & 40 plus I believe.
Let me know if your coming down and I'll bring my son down and we'll cheer you on!!

Cool pics. I remember in 81 when DB and his dad showed up at the National they had at Atlanta Motor speedway towing his Kwacker behind the Celica. They stuffed the tool box in the hatchback and looked like the rest of us going to the races, at least untill DB started riding.

It ended way too soon. Needed about 100 more photos.
