I know the 2019 450’s have Renthal Fat bars and a red pad. We just got one yesterday. Sweet looking ride.

I just installed the steering stabilizer on my 18 this weekend. I had to order the collar/spacer from the 2016 hondas that goes between the frame and top of the stabilizer. Bottom bolts right up perfectly. The spacer was under 5 bucks.

"Dampener"? Do Hondas need moistened steering?

Or do they need damping, like a damper?

Sorry Captain English, I used a more colloquial word. Thanks for clearing up this huge confusion as clearly no one who replied to the thread understood.

You have truly saved the day. Go grab a Popsicle from the fridge as a reward.

Or is it refrigerator? You might need to put on your superhero cape and save the day again.

Did you look up "damper", captain "don't know physics if it bit him in the ass"?

Damper may refer to:

Dashpot, a type of hydraulic or mechanical damper,
Shock absorber (British or technical use: damper), a mechanical device designed to dissipate kinetic energy
In electronics, a kind of diode, intended to absorb energy peaks, normally generated by inductive circuitry

Your definition doesn't come close.

If you're into being wrong, and staying that way, knock yourself out.
If you want so sound like you have a modecum of a clue, sometimes just listen.

The ‘18 has the mounting points. I need to check the ‘19 chassis. Let me pull up some photos...

Here's a pic of the 2019 CRF450R. It does have the mounting points for the damper.

Thank you very much.

Honda guy since the 2004-08 valve eater engines. Selling both 2016's (260 hrs combined) and looking to strike a deal for two 2019's anywhere withing 6 hrs drive from San Francisco, preferably with an MSO.

If anyone knows a shop willing to deal, please let me know.
