I heard rumors, but it's real.. This is a popular long history track just outside of Denver that closed recently, but is being re-opened with professional track builders! How many tracks does Dirt Wurx's managed or maintain around the USA?

I like the quote "We want it to look like a golf course with a track in on it" or something like that. Sounds like they really want to do it right.

Didn't even know they(dirt wurks) were still in business Good to see The track coming back but just hope it lasts. The new homes there are sure to complain.

Wishful thinking. This is the desert. It will be green for a month when the monsoons come and then back to brown.

The traction I remember getting on that dirt is super sick when prepped right.

Been trying to find out who is behind this as I've heard some wild rumors. Suppose we will know soon enough. Sounds like the first ride will be a memorial ride for Chris Morgan who just passed from cancer. I will be trying to make it up.

This was my concren also as soon as i heard the rumors. The homes were always there but now more and have been there with no track operating. Trying to stay positive. Big investment to overlook the possibilities of complaints. Hope it was looked into.

That's kickass back in business. I haven't been past there in several years, did they build houses behind it where the open riding was? Back behind the super cross track?

That gives you front range guys some more options again for sure.

You live in a prime spot with the Farm and VDR out the back doors.

I wish the best for them re-opening up.

Think they'll ID me to see if my name is Tommy?

Still have mine. Was the green one the original one and then they went to the white one or vice versa?

Felix was the man!!! I think he worked at HP, and ran the track. First met him in 1978. I was 12 years old then.

Residential development right next to the SW corner of the property. It has grown quite a bit the last two years. High dollar homes.
5 mins to the Farm, and 13 to VDR, now BMP. Berthoud Moto Park. Check out their facebook page.

I remember racing minis there as a kid. great natural terrain. really good memories of riding and racing there. Glad to see it's going to be back up and running. Havn't ridden there since '90 or '91. Might have to make the trek down and ride it next summer.

Would it be big enough for a national?
Said on their website to be a 1 1/2 mile track. It's about 30 miles further out from Denver then Thunder Valley with no close hotels. If grew up racing or riding moto, you rode or race this track at least once. They are smart building a UTV/Quads track. Big market in Colorado now for that. I would even consider racing a Polaris Razor now. Less likely to get hurt in a cage.

Cool will do! I can't decide if I am going in the morning or later. Seems like the place will be packed.

passed by there when we hit up the New Castle Brewery (?) during the 2010 MXON. We stopped by and looked around, maybe it was me being used to the flat grounds of Texas, but it looked fun as well when we walked it. Glad y'all are going to have another place to ride again!

Yes he did work his butt off. If I remember right, the sun would make the skin on his arms swell up? Great guy.

The track is crazy cool, but holy guacamoly it was freaikin windy out there today! It was just like that part in fear and loathing in las vegas - it was soooo dusty and my beer was full of dirt!
