Long story short. I recently bent a rear rim on my 2016 CRF250R. These are not the stock silver, I purchased gold rims for it awhile ago. Currently I do not have the extra funds to purchase a replacement gold one. I have the stock silver rim in the trailer. My question is how ghetto would it look with one silver and one gold rim for the rest of the year? I may look at purchasing a new set this winter so that adds to the not wanting to drop the coin on one rim right now. My thought is who cares as long as I get to ride. Thoughts?
you just gotta wait
Exactly. WGAF. You get to ride and have fun. That's all that matters.
+1 on WGAF..... but if you're seriously that concerned about running two different color wheels, then put the stockers on front and rear. I promise you'll have just as much fun riding with stock wheels...

Loosen your sprocket bolts so you don't get flat spots in the chain. Make sure to re-torque before riding next year.
Problem solved.
Also note, the dirt late model guys will typically cover their wheels and tires in the pits so as to not tip off their competitors of their tire choice for a given track.
I would do the same on your bike when in the pits. You don't want to be embarrassed if some big money riders happen by, or gosh forbid, some hot chicks walk by.
