In the procircuit ask me a question videos(sorry I'm on a phone so I can't post YouTube links. But they are on racerx.)dean said he signed with PC for two years. Making it 5 with the team. Anyone else surprised by this? I thought it was 2013 only. Guess he's riding 450SX in 2014, unless he doesn't win a championship this year?

2013 - 250 sx and takes title, then 450 mx where he becomes a massive pain in the arse for the upper region of the class.

2014 - 450 sx where he continues to be a pain in the arse and 450 mx where he battles for the title with the other young guns, old men all put to the kerb by the likes of bam bam, tomac, wilson.

FYI, if Dean scores 120 points in SX he is out of the 250 class whether or not he wins the championship. Same goes for Baggett and a few other guys.

This is ( will be ) his third year in lites. Where did this 120 point rule come from?

Without going into great detail.....there are 18 rounds of SX. Not sure what coast Dean is riding for.....but lets just say that he should be racing 9 rounds in which pay points.

120 points is only winning 4 of those rounds , and taking like a 3rd.

There is a total of 175 points ( I'm guessing here ) that he "could" possibly make.

Mx Sports and FIM would boot him out of the lites class at mid-season?

Plenty of guys have ran full 3rd seasons.......and never got booted at the 120 point mark. Is this something new?

I think it means if he earns 120 more points this year + his previous points will get him booted

You are correct on 9 lites races though, since both coasts race vegas.

That was my understanding,,if anything went wrong in 2013 (touch wood it won't) and he was under 120 points,if he sat out the rest of the season he could ride in the 250 class in 2014 too couldn't he?

call me crazy but regardless if Dean scores either 1 or 120 points in 250 SX this year, isn't it pretty obvious he's doing 450 class full time in 2014 either way? this argument about his 250 class eligibility seems like a moot point..

You can't get kicked out of any championship midway unless you do something bad. When you point out you can't race the next year.

Not if, but when Deano gets to his 120 points this season. He will no longer be eligable for 250 SX in seasons to come. They have changed the rules so many times that it gets confusing. But the way I understand it is that this is his last shot to win a title in the 250 class. Wether or not the rules stay the same is a whole nother discussion!
