I wonder how many of the tracks will have this platform? I know most of the football stadiums do not have the floor space to fit this in the middle of the track.

If it was $1,200 a person, they max out at 10 people per round (and get 10 every time) for all 17 races...that's $204,000.
Michael, what do you think is Feld's take of the $ 1200 ? Surely ,they aren't letting CR grab all the cash. My daughter and son-in-law got passes for Atlanta, and he checked into 3 other rounds and they were all sold out. In fact, Atlanta was too, but they had a cancellation so they called my son-in-law back and hooked him up. So I'm guessing it may be possible that he sells all 10 each round. They met Reed while on a vacation at Universal studios Orlando back in late Sept. He was always their favorite rider, but he really won them over during that 20 min conversation. Just really was polite and seemed genuinely happy that someone recognized him outside of the track. All the while with the wife and kids in tow.

I really can't say what the split is. I'd imagine there has to be something due to the passes they're getting for them all to use.

Who cares, the guy is a legend. If you want access to him pay the $$, if not, don't. Seems pretty straightforward to me.

I agree. He digs the sport ,been doing it longer than just about anyone and should be considered one of the top 10 greats of all time. Ok, maybe top 20, but either way, it would be a gas to hang out with him at an actual race. Not going to have many chance left . Pay the juice and create the memories.

If he threw in a hooker for the evening then yes it would be. Not a bad idea to fund a team

Press Box at Anaheim is very tightly controlled due to the tiny size of the area...it's not really big enough to support the actual media, let alone a bunch of VIPs. At other rounds, such as San Diego or Las Vegas, the press box is huge and they would have access there.
It was on the list of things you will get with your VIP experience.

But JT and Matthes said its pretty much impossible.

Just wondering if they pulled strings for Reedy.

I think it was the post race podcast with Matthes where he said he got something like 3000 emails for it? And was basically sold out except for Tampa and one other round I think.

No one gets press box for A1 but media. It's been that way for several years now.

That platform is in concept phase for Feld as a way to bring in non-endemic sponsorship. It will be there again for A2 but that's the only races I know of for now. I was fortunate enough to have a pass to try it but didn't get a chance to go out there as I was tending to VIP's. It looked really cool, though.

I think it is better if press has it's own place without the outside people as you are working on tight deadlines and sometimes are leaving your laptop and other stuff unattended when heading to track to take pictures. I was working at the A1 press box and the view is good, but lack of windows make it a bit noisy and cold. If someone would be at the race just enjoy the action, the suites would much more comfortable and the VIP section at the middle of the track more interesting place to see the race.

Hey guys, I have some insight on the CR22 VIP program. Overall I think all 10 people had a great time. Chad had a lot going on just to be able to line up and race, but he was able to still spend some time with everyone. All 10 people were very respectful all day and night. From the Instagram post I have seen they were all positive. I know this might not be the case every weekend all we can do is try to make everyone enjoy the day/night.

I just want to drink beer with the 22, how can I do that? Does it come with the $1200? If so I'm in.

Houston Press box view. 2012.
K-dub had some nice transfers that night. If I had an extra 1200 laying around I would definitely buy one of these VIP packages. Seems to be worth every dollar. Especially if you're a Reed superfan

The VIP deal looks worth it to me. Not too often you get those chances. If you got the cash, go for it.
