Guy B was kind enough to give me a weekend pass so I’ll try to post up some good happenings before I head back to the pokey on Monday.smile

Photo

I made my way to the track Friday afternoon to meet up with friends and drop off a truckload of stuff to sell. Barely made it through the gate before people were on the attack. The Hurricane Harvey flood victim YZ50 and 3 MR50’s we’re gone within five minutes.

Unfortunately overnight it appears as if a tornado touched down at the track and caused a bit of damage. Trees down all over the track and stuff from the thousands of campers here scattered about only seems to have caused a minor delay in the days events.

With the National Anthem served up properly, the race is on.Photo

Have fun Joe...

Let us know how that 100 revenge race goes. Could not believe how fast those guys were going at Rio. They offered a 125cc (any year, non AHRMA) and below class at Rio and I was racing my 2014 YZ125 against them and had my hands full with Dennis Daft and company.

Battle on the Bayou 100cc race kicked off with Vital member TBTeam’s racer Eric Yarnell (former mechanic for Team Surf/ Jeff Glass) holding his own on the Paul Johnstone built YZ100. Some pretty fast compny out there on the little bikes.

Thanks for posting. I had completely forgot what a flat straight looked like. Been decades. Local tracks would cram a table top and 2 sets of doubles on that straight and wonder why participation numbers are down.

Here’s a nice one for you. Not an 81 but a full floater 125

Thanks for sharing! I would love that bike! When the Full Floater first came out it was a dramatic improvement. Really, really dramatic!

Cool to see two bikes next to each other that I raced when they were new. '73 XR-75 and '84 RM-250.

Sorry Newmann; hate to be a pedant but, that is a Scorpa. Built in France using a modified by them TYZ engine. My brother-in-law had one and it was a beaut, really smooth and turbine like compared to my Beta Techno
