Actually doesn't look like a horrible deal. And I don't think he looped it out, but rather bottomed that shock out several times. Looks like the tire ate the fender a lot.

It actually looks like he cut out the rear fender to match the tire contour.

Hillclimb bike for sure, my extensions aren't quite that long but I've definitely seen many like them before. It's pretty amazing what extending a bike just about a foot can do, you can climb things you wouldn't believe.

Edit: From the NAHA sticker on the side shroud and the locations I would bet it was ran in the Sunnyside Washington race. That would be a fun one to travel to if NAHA pro payouts didn't suck so bad.

A lot of guys don't run a back brake because when you're coming down a hill that steep, you can pretty much just put the bike in gear and use the front brake. Ideally though, you would just make it over the top and not have to worry about coming down the steep part.Smile
