Looking forward to the test. Hope the bike does well. RMZ 250 has been the ugly step child too long.

We’re talkin 19s here bud
Yep! Sure are. Was in reply to somebody talking about power gains from just an exhaust. Looks like I forgot to hit the quote button. I see there is a greater gain in the Suzuki though with stage 3 mods i.e percentages. Whether it's up to Yamaha levels they aren't saying and I doubt it. Just shows the untapped potential though and how much they haven't developed the RMZ compared with the YZ which is pushing the boundaries a bit harder stock.

pretty sure Suzuki put a hush/hush on, MXA and a few others were there and literally no opinions given (video or print)...don't think it bodes well for the engine

So you are saying another embargo put on by Suzuki? Well that’s disappointing.

I get a kick out of all the experts on here that determine the best bike from a spec sheet, but haven’t ridden any of them.

god no, just a guess...really want to hear opinions, just think its weird that no one that was there has put up any type of first impression.

It seems telling with the lack of review content, when we know all major media outlets were in Japan at the test. It stinks of the industries favorite word "Embargo." I'm just surprised nobody has come out and said the word yet because it seems everyone is so excited to tell everyone they know something but cant say anything because...Embargo bro, when we see everyone click the button and upload at the same time well all get our answer I guess. I'm just bitter cause I really want to know how it is..Lol

No, we're all just traveling and Suzuki didn't provide extra flights to bring a video guy along, so the test riders in this group are all doing the content themselves. I just woke up after being out for almost 12 hours (jetlagged and sick) I'm going to put together an audio file to listen to right now.

Don't mean to bug you ML , cause I know you aren't feeling well. I haven't read that full report ( because honestly it's pretty freakin' huge! ).......but with the improvements on the motor and chassis , if a guy was to get a little motor work , exhaust , set the suspension up good......you think it's competitive?

I posted an audio file in that update that runs through my thoughts after riding it and I gave a few suggestions. I’ll do a write up on the plane as well but I will say, I’m actually kind of excited to get one this year and mod it for personal use.

Wow really? I take it you like it quite a bit. She sure does look sharp. I'll say this....I had never rode one until 2012. I got on one that was set up good and only had about 5hrs on it.....and I swear to this day , I've never been on a bike that cornered or handled as good as that bike. Not a real strong motor in 12'....but I felt like I was riding on Velcro the way that bike stuck to the ground.

Agreed. Very good looking bike. Make it a 350 and I’ll be interested!

Id ride one. Lighter, more top end, best cornering... they have enough power already and its freer flowing that looks like it will respond well to mods too.
