So I made a last-minute trip through Denver this week, and I just happen to have a CRF450 in the truck.
And good tracks to ride on Fri or Sat? It's 'only' gonna be 90 F (#meltdown).

I'm in Aurora, so Thunder Valley looks like like an option.
Any suggestions??? Thnx!

ThunderValley or Erie. ThunderValley will be closer and better, though.

It depends on the style of track your looking for.. Erie (IMI) is more Supercross and ThunderValley and Valley Dirt mx in berthoud are more motocross.. And how much you want to spend. VDRMX is the largest facility with Various tracks. All are good choices. Good Luck and have fun.. I wil be at VDRMX .. #333 black kaw 450.

All the Colorado tracks are like concrete when they are not prepped. Ever been to IMI ? I once saw the colo hiway dept put a center line down the IMI track because they thought it was I-25

Berthoud actually is a track where they have dirt & sand along with erie here in CO...not sure when you have last been there?? Watkins equals clay base & no dirt. But you are correct on weekdays when no prep it can be hard. Try it on a Sat & Sun they prep & water all day.

There is a few tracks, You can do Watkins or Erie( IMI ) or you can do Berthoud. Or you can head south & there are a few tracks down there Aztec & others. But the 3 I listed are closer.

Like DirtyDave said, Thunder Valley is having a race this weekend so it will have an organized prepped practice on Saturday. http://members.srac.org/ That would probably be your best bet for a decent track.

Thanks everybody for the suggestions.
I wanted to ride Thunder Valley because it looks so awesome on TV, but the practice for Sunday's race doesn't start untill 10am and I'd like to hit something early before it's too hot.
I spoke to a gentleman at IMI who said I can pop wheelies all day for $12 without a membership fee, so that sounds like a good option. I like jumpy/techincal tracks, but really just pumped to ride anything tomorrow. I was in Colorado Springs visiting family yesterday, so I'm not sure I'll drive back that way. Do Aztec and Olympic have membership fees?

Aztec does but Olympic doesn't. If you want to come out Here tomorrow I will just hit you for ten bucks for the day. I do consider my track the most technical of all the tracks here in Colorado. It was just tuned up last weekend so it us in great shape too.

Cygnus- thanks so much for the gracious offer. I really want to check out your track but it's 98 miles each way from where I'm staying and I only have a half-day hall pass. I have family in Co Springs, so I will definately hit you up on my next visit.

There are a lot of good-looking tracks in the area. I'll probably check out Thunder Valley, but I really wish I had more than one ride day on this trip.

Thanks everybody, if you see my black Chevy and my number-less CRF450 with a goon rider on board please say hi or throw some roost in my face!
